Recently, we took a trip to the where the mattresses come to life from start to finish at the Hypnos factory in Prince Risborough, Buckinghamshire. From the meticulous hand work to the highest-quality fabrics and natural fillings used in every one of our Hypnos mattresses, here’s how our bespoke range has been specially made just for you. The 6 steps to mattress perfection: 1. All fabrics, lids and mattress borders are hand-measured and the Hypnos label is hand-stitched on to the fabric. 2. Air vents are hand-pressed and the flag-stitched handles are then attached to the borders. 3. The chosen pocket spring system is attached to a frame to keep its shape and the fillings are collected. 4. Next, the borders are hand-side stitched into a second row of springs for extra support. 5. After the fillings have been layered on in order, the lid is tagged on and then securely tape-edged. 6. The mattress is expertly hand-tufted to keep all the fillings in place before it is inspected, double-bagged and complete.
