Job Description

Our job is to provide a platform where an artist can upload their music, album information and graphics.  From there they can simply click a button and distribute the music across 25+ digital service providers (DSP’s) such as Spotify and Apple Music.  Our platform aggregates the playback information incurred from each DSP on that artists music.  We show the artist royalty reports and allow the artist to query and drill down to details of the royalty reports.  We also collect royalties from the DSP’s that we work with, aggregate and compile the royalties, and allow the Artists to withdraw their earnings from our platform. 

Currently our main application/website is a PHP monolith application built with PHP 5.6 and Cake 2.4.  The application has requires some love and attention to fix some of the bugs that are present on the website.

Your mission is to work with the other PHP developers and fix the problems active on the website and keep it stable. 

You will also have the opportunity to aid in the improvement of the website, we are in the process of breaking the monolith website into microservices.  As we develop the microservices (with your aid pending the status of the main website) your job is to integrate and adapt the current website to plug into these new microservices to improve and enhance the monolith application.   We are working on new technology which involved blockchain, you will have the opportunity to work with blockchain and smart contracts if you are interested as well.

Skills and Qualifications

As Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible in assisting  in the improvement and development of the main Ditto Music PHP website. 

Will assist the web team with programming for the implementation of new websites and custom software. We're looking for an individual with great analytical and problem-solving skills. Will require the ability to collaborate on larger projects while effectively handling smaller projects individually.

Requirements:

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Writing code, testing and debugging
• Previously have been apart of multiple full website development projects
• experience in software development using PHP (Preferably PHP 5.6)
• Experience with Cake PHP (Preferably Cake 2.4)
• Javascript skills familiarity with React or Angular Javascript frameworks and/or C# .NET Core Experience
• Git source control
