Before you make reservations, you may have a few questions about what to expect By the Sea. We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked question from over the years and are proud to introduce our very first edition of Know Before You Go!: Quoted rates are based on single or double occupancy. A $10 fee will be added to the rate for each additional adult occupying the room. Kids under 17 and staying with a parent or guardian stay free. Guests must be 18 or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guests under 18 and traveling without a parent or guardian must provide a minor consent form, completed in advance and must pay the extra adult fee. A $100 per person cash damage deposit, refundable at checkout, is required for all guests occupying a room under 25. Holidays, special events and weekends may require a minimum length of stay. Enjoy bagels, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice & more from 7am – 10am daily! Check-in begins at 4pm every day. Please have your vehicle information ready, including tag number, year, make, model & color.
During the peak season rooms may not be ready until later in the day. Checkout is at 10am. Late checkout may be requested at the front desk and is subject to availability and additional charges. All prices quoted for room rates and fees are subject to state and local taxes and are subject to change. Please review your confirmation with reservations or the front desk for your specific room pricing. Some discounts are not applied until check-in. A deposit of the first night’s room rate and tax is required to reserve any room. The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival by cash, credit card, money order, traveler’s check or cashier’s check. Reservations must be canceled more than 72 hours prior to the arrival date or the deposit of one night’s stay is forfeited. All cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Housekeeping services the rooms on a daily basis, weekly for monthly guests. There is no charge for parking. Parking is available on a first come/first serve basis.
One vehicle per room will be allowed to park onsite. Additional vehicles will be issued an overflow parking pass. Available parking differs by property and will be explained further upon check-in. By the Sea Resorts does not allow pets at any property. For a list of pet friendly accommodations in Panama City Beach please call the Convention & Visitors Bureau at 850-233-5070. Legacy & Beach Tower – Free Wifi is available throughout the hotel Beachcomber – Guest computers are available with free internet access in the lobby or business center. Wi-Fi is available for your convenience through iPacket Network at a nominal fee hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. We are currently working on providing you with Free Wifi. Beachbreak – free wireless in the lobby. Beach chairs are available to rent from our Beach Services team directly behind the property (seasonally – March through October). Should you bring your own beach chairs, umbrellas or tents please be sure to observe the Leave No Trace Ordinance.
Coin operated laundry facilities are available at all properties: Legacy – $2.00 (wash & dry) Beachbreak – $1.50 (wash & dry) Beachcomber – $2.00 (wash & dry) Open 8am to 11pm daily. Pools are heated during the cooler months. Iron & ironing board, microwave, coffee maker, blow dryer and much more depending on your room type. Please see our website for complete room descriptions. Kitchen rooms are furnished with all the necessities you’ll need to create a small meal. All properties are conveniently located near many different local grocery stores and supermarkets. We do recommend you wait to buy any refrigerated or frozen goods until after you check-in and receive your room key. Grilling on balconies is prohibited at all By the Sea Resorts properties. Beachside grills are available at St. Andrew’s State Park (the 3rd most visited State Park in Florida!). Guests are asked to never throw anything off the balcony. This offense is in violation of the law and subject to immediate eviction.

Both our Beachside and Northside locations share the same amenities for the maximum enjoyment of our guests. Because the Palmetto is family owned and operated, every detail is taken care of to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. Using Palmetto as your conveniently located home base, take time to explore the rest of Panama City Beach. We are located just one mile from Pier Park where you’ll find a wide variety of shops, restaurants and movie theater. Also located nearby is Ripley’s Believe it Or Not and Wonder Works; Zoo World, noted for its child-oriented exhibits and demonstrations; Gulf World Marine Park with daily performances by dolphins, sea lions and exotic birds; Frank Brown Park, a mega-sports complex where you can watch a baseball/softball or soccer tournament in progress. Go and visit St. Andrews State Recreation Area, a 1,260-acre park that’s great for snorkeling and swimming and just enjoying nature; charter a fishing boat; play a round of golf or take the children to a fun-filled miniature golf complex; dine out at a world class restaurant or grab a quick lunch at one of the colorful establishments frequented by the locals. Go on an Airboat Adventure ride or take a tour to Shell Island and do some beachcombing.
