Our Story: How the Chirt got started! **Lindsay Satmary, Co-Founder of ChairWear Fashion** Lindsay Satmary and her husband own a marketing company which they have operated from home since 2009. Although they have a dedicated office space, they also had cats and were frustrated at the cats constantly scratching up their office chairs. Lindsay and her husband were tired of having to replace the chairs so frequently. She thought life would be so much easier if they could just buy a cover for the chairs. The following morning, Lindsay spent hours searching online for this much-needed product–only to come up empty. Lindsay immediately shared her idea with her mother-in-law, Joyce, who happens to be very skilled at sewing. Joyce got to work on the idea and a prototype was quickly born. They filed for a patent right away and began choosing colors and patterns that they thought people would enjoy. In late 2012, Lindsay and her husband launched the website for ChairWear Fashion just for fun.




However, a few weeks later, orders began coming in from all over the country. They quickly realized that the Chirt was needed by so many more people than just frustrated professionals with cats: sports fans who wanted to bring their team colors to their work space, fashionistas who wanted to show off their unique style, corporations who wanted their logos on chairs, people who worked in a shared environment and liked the idea of washing the Chirt during flu season…and many more. Since the soft launch of the ChairWear website, the Chirt has now sold all over the US and 15 other countries! Drew and Lindsay are now expecting their third child and they look forward to bringing new and exciting things to ChairWear Fashion in 2017. and you can connect with her on social media: **Joyce Satmary, Co-Founder of ChairWear Fashion** Joyce Satmary is a mother of eight children and has 9 grandchildren with one more on the way. She has worked in a variety of areas throughout her life to include teaching and customer service.




In late 2011, she finally decided to retire. However, she quickly found that she needed something new and exciting to keep her busy. After raising 8 kids and working for many years, she didn’t know what to do with so much free time! As soon as she came up with the final prototype for the Chirt, Lindsay and Joyce were ready for their new business venture! Joyce manages all of the manufacturing and packaging of the Chirts while Lindsay oversees sales and marketing. Together, with the support and help of loved ones, they brought an idea to life and turned it into a family business that continues to grow! Joyce made and shipped thousands of Chirts all over the US and internationally and takes great pride in making sure each Chirt is perfectly put together for each customer.
