Pain in back of thighs This is the one symptom that I cannot really get rid of. I sit during work (I am a medical transcriptionist) and I have a very comfortable chair. It is not an office chair, more like a big fluffy regular chair that is almost a small love-seat. Anyway, it does of course get better when I get up and move about but it hurts after sitting 30 minutes and it comes back soon after I take a break.Does anyone have any suggestions at all? The rest of my pain is taken care of by my Tramadol ER . I have this problem too!!! I thought I was the only one or that it was unrelated to Lyme. It just sort of showed up one day and hasn't gone away. I also had moderate pain localized to the back of my knee, especially when I stretched for something or strained for any reason. The doctor said it was a vericose vein but I don't see ANY kind of vein back there. Besides, that doesn't explain the pain in both legs... I wish I had some useful info for you, but I just wanted you to know that I have this problem too and that you're not alone.

we need to get UP MORE OFTEN THAN 30 MINUTES; i have this too. i have some neuropathy too.Are you saying I can't stay glued to my chair for 6 hours? I wish I could but I usually have to let the dog out or something every 30 minutes or so. The problem is that I get paid on production, not by the hour so if I'm not working, I'm not making money. So either I stay logged in and make less while taking "breaks" or I log out and a 6 hour shift takes 8 hours. Either way it bites. I did try a massaging pad before that helped. Wish I could find a smaller one because the wires were hard to sit on. Glad I'm not alone! I am a stay at home mom to a 4 year old.... I rarely get to SIT down every 30 minutes! I'm already experiencing repetitive-strain problems with my left shoulder blade -- a chiropractor did some work on it but it's still bothering me and I don't want stuff like this to be a deterrent to my ability to do the job.

It's an independent contractor gig, so I'm responsible for all ergonomics decisions and medical costs I might incur. Sort me out, MeFi. Give me some very specific actions I can take that won't cost much money.Check out the new GTCC Catalog, featuring over 80+ programs of study leading to certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees. How to Become a Medical Transcriptionist-Salary & TrainingWhy Choose NPC's Medical Transcription? Do you have good judgement, focus and listening skills? The job of a Medical Transcriptionist is to figure out what is supposed to be part of a report and what is not. You will transcribe and interpret meaning from voice recordings that physicians and other healthcare professionals make and convert them into written reports. You may also review and edit medical documents created using speech recognition technology. Transcriptionists interpret medical terminology and abbreviations in preparing a patient's medical history, discharge summaries, and other documents.

Prospective medical transcriptionists must have an understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, as well as grammar and word-processing software. Medical transcription can be complex so most employers generally prefer college training. If you're able to work behind a computer for hours at a time, independently, with very little interaction with others and have excellent spelling and hearing skills, as well as a good understanding of grammar and punctuation this may be the perfect career for you! The skills you'll learn in NPC's Medical Transcriptionist program will help you stand out to employers. NPC faculty understand it is important to not only learn the computer software that will help you transcribe, but more importantly the medical terminology, anatomy and physiology that will help you understand and correctly interpret medical voice recordings. You'll be taught by faculty who truly care about your success and will work with you to help you achieve your goals.
