We were looking for an off-size dining-room table and had visited many, many modern and antique furniture stores before arriving -- exhausted -- at Royal Oak Traders.
The proprietor was on the verge of closing for the day, but we slipped in and had a quick look around. We immediately found multiple desirable dining-table options. I wish I could remember the proprietor's name. He was helpful and impressively knowledgeable about the provenance of the furniture we were considering. His prices were very reasonable compared to the other antiques and modern items we'd been looking at. It was overall a very pleasant experience and we'll return to Royal Oak when we need an interesting or odd piece of furniture from the past.
