Availability: Usually Ships in 24 Hours When shopping for a Twin XL memory foam topper it can be tricky. You want high quality, but you do not want to over-pay either. So how do you know? For starters Dorm Co will always give you the highest quality dorm bedding toppers at the lowest price, but beyond that we will teach you about the product's quality too. Memory foam is a very tricky product to shop for because there are so many grades of memory foam at prices that are quite frankly all over the place.

There are two areas that you want to pay attention to most. First and foremost is the product's density and second is the product's thickness. Most retailers are quick to mention the thickness as you need to know the topper thickness, but the density is sometimes hidden or not stated at all. How high of quality your memory foam is directs relates to the density. As a general rule, the higher the density number, the higher the sink in softness. If you are familiar with the hand print image after touching memory foam this is created by good quality, high density memory foam. Our 3" Twin XL Memory Foam Topper is a high quality 2.5 lb density. You'll be sure to see your hand print, but more importantly you'll get the high quality bedding comfort that you are looking for! So remember when comparing memory foam toppers the density is the key to quality. You can trust Dorm Co's quality and density. If you still aren't sure and you decide to shop around just remember if you find a lower density memory foam the quality will not be as high as this Twin XL Memory Foam Topper.

Our pricing is so low the next cheapest cost you'll find for equal quality is $129.99. Dorm Co has all your college dorm bedding covered at the cheapest prices! We literally have you covered. Frugal)submitted by Looking for a memory foam mattress (in Toronto, Canada). Don't mind if its Tempur-Pedic, Serta or something else as long as it doesn't have heat issues. The Brick had a sale today but I didn't bite. I tend to feel the prices are so high to begin with that one is still getting taken advantage of. It's a long term investment so I don't mind paying a higher price as long as it's good value. I've also become a Costco member and heard good things about their mattresses. π Rendered by PID 28993 on app-786 at 2017-03-04 15:47:26.324838+00:00 running f3f09f7 country code: SG.Memory Foam Mattress with an Electric Blanket (or Electric Mattress Pad)

There is no safety problem such as flammability with a decent memory foam mattress or topper (as contrasted with one of the cheap egg-crate type foams). Memory Foam Durability with Added Heat There seem to be two schools of thought on using heated mattress pads with memory foam. Some people say the memory foam mattress won’t support the bodyproperly if it is extra warm. Tempur-Pedic® states on their web site that they do not recommend using electric blankets or mattress pads because the “exposureto direct heat over extended periods of time can cause damage to the TEMPUR material”. Tempur-Pedic® further suggests that if at bedtime your mattress is too cold, try turning up the bedroom thermostat for twenty to thirty minutes before going to bed. Once you are in bed, the mattress will warm up quickly in response to your body heat. If you do choose to use an electric blanket to warm your mattress before bedtime, we recommend that you turn it off after 30 minutes to avoid overexposing the TEMPUR material to high heat.

My personal opinion - not supported by rigorous objective testing Several years ago, I myself spoke to the Technical Director at another one of the memory foam mattress manufacturers and he told me there would be no problems. I tend to believe this version because I personally have slept on a memory foam mattress with heated mattress pads for about six years now and I do not notice any problems. In fact, during cold weather, my personal opinion is that the support and comfort actually work better due to the extra warmth and I didn't like the "cold brick" feel. And I definitely do not want to increase my house temperature. One of the major benefits of heated bedding is to save money and energy by heating only the bed, not the whole house. Since some memory foam manufacturers say no and some say yes, you will have to make the final decision whether to go with the heated pad on the memory foam. Sorry we couldn’t be more scientific or definitive.
