Nor

▶️ This conjunction is the least common of our list.We still use it but less than others.It's mostly used with Neither(check#grammar#correlative_conjunction#n15 in channel for more information).

▶️ Some important points you need to know:

1. Things that you connect with Nor should be the same.(This rule is for all coordinating conjunctions)

- She has not talked to anyone since she returned,nor has she eaten a thing.

2. It's important that Neither never comes without Nor but Nor can come with other negative words like not or never.(we have Not in the above example)

- He has never told a lie,nor has he cheated on her.

3. We can use Nor completely alone and without any negative word but actually this is so strange and somehow you can't see something like this anymore!

4. When in Neither...nor you are connecting two sentences with the same number(plural or singular),the verb follows the nouns.But if one of them is plural and the other singular,verb takes the number of the closer noun.

- Neither Sara nor Anna is willing to go on journey.(two singular nouns with a singular verb)

-Neither families nor teachers are satisfied with the new rule.(two plural nouns with a plural verb)

-Neither my parents nor my brother wants to invite Mr.Johnson.(different forms with singular verb)

-Neither my brother nor my parents want to invite Mr.Johnson.(different forms with plural verb)

5. I think you have understood till now that we use question form after Nor.
