;)The Sunset District is San Francisco's best kept secret - a residential neighborhood close to Ocean Beach, between Golden Gate Park (to the North) and Lake Merced and the San Francisco Zoo (to the South). It is clean and one the safest area in the city of SF. We are less than 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown (by car or public transport), in a quieter place, you can hear the ocean waves from our house, where the streets are wider, the backyards bigger, and free parking is easy to find. People who like the outdoors love our place, especially for the world-class surfing, jogging, cycling, and hiking. We're also a popular destination for marathon participants and concert-goers, with events nearby like Bay to Breakers, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, and Outside Lands. And there are no shortages of great international restaurants and coffee shops here! Check our guidebook for more...We are 2 blocks from the L-Taraval train that gets you downtown in 30 minutes. Below are more details about getting around town.

We generally recommend Lyft or Uber to get to our home from SFO (about $10 to $35 per ride, depending on timing and options chosen). Location: * only 20-30 minutes from downtown * under 25 minutes by car from SFO airport * about 1 hour by car from Oakland and San Jose airports * 2 blocks from some of the world's best surfing * 2 blocks from public transport (buses and L-Taraval MUNI train) * L-Taraval train leaves for downtown every 10-15 minutes and gets there in 30 minutes.
