Shoulders are and STAY tucked back together for the whole movement so that the chest gets stimulated the most. Shoulders back together make the arms go up without any problem, not pinching any nerves or causing any pain. Besides the safety of doing so, what that does is it actually creates a strong shelf on your back that will definitely help you on having a strong pushing technique. ✅ ❌On the right, the dude has no idea how to do it. Not creating an arch decreases core activation. By staying like that it is also very difficult to lock the shoulderblades back together and actually keep them thay way for the whole movement. This results in shoulders rotating forward (⏰ wise), while the arms are going up. As you can see the arrows "collide" in one point, which is exactly where the chest attaches to the shoulder (where nerves and tendons are).
