In recent years, numerous Nike and Air Jordan releases have been scrapped or delayed due to problems with mold growing on the sneakers during transit. Perhaps the same should have been done for this past weekend's "True Red" Air Jordan 13 Retro release.Photos shared show the sneakers covered in mold, some pairs worse than others. In a few instances, the leather is warped, likely a result of the presence of moisture. Some buyers, such as Instagram user @tl_yo, have had trouble contacting Nike to correct the issue. However, the Nikestore Twitter account has been providing assistance to those with complaints. @Nike @Jumpman23 how do you ship dirty shoes out? And your sold out so you can only refund my money. — MC Pepe (@MCPepeVoz) February 23, 2017 The latest moldy sneaker incident has sneaker buyers questioning Nike's quality control process. While there's no way to pinpoint how these pairs slipped through, the number of complaints rolling in on social media indicates that it's a widespread problem.

A post shared by Kevin Walters (@k_walters_jr) on Feb 22, 2017 at 4:07pm PSTThe Air Jordan 13 Black Cat will use the Black Panther inspiration for this upcoming Air Jordan 13 release set for January 2017.
