A number of events are getting organized in Minsk in the framework of the upcoming first official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Belarus.

The events include the 1st Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan, the exhibition of national products ‘Made in Uzbekistan’, the opening of the bust of the great Uzbek poet and thinker Alisher Navoi and the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan.

‘Made in Uzbekistan’ Exhibition opened in Minsk puts on display more than 1000 types of products by 80 enterprises and 15 business associations located in 10 regions of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan organized the event together with the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan with the support of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The main goal of the exhibition is to familiarize the Belarusian business community with the production, export and investment potential of Uzbekistan, as well as to demonstrate the rich cultural and historical heritage and the development of tourism in our country.

Sewing and knitwear, home textiles, cotton fabrics, shoes, haberdashery, fruit and vegetables, confectionery products, as well as pharmaceutical and medical products are displayed on an area of ​​3 thousand square meters. Separate expositions of handicrafts, IT and tourism products, as well as investment and export potential of 10 regions of Uzbekistan are also organized.

‘Made in Uzbekistan’ Exhibition kicked off on July 29 will last until August 2. Following the exhibition, the Uzbek side expects significantly increasing the supply of its goods to Belarus.

Representatives of the regions, ministries and departments, parliamentarians, business circles of the two countries will take part in the 1st Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan. The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Sodiq Safoyev led the delegation of Uzbekistan. The Uzbek side will arrange a presentation of Andijan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Namangan, Samarqand, Khorezm, Fergana and Tashkent regions.

It is expected that a number of interregional cooperation agreements will be signed at the venues of the Forum, as well as commercial contracts.
