On March 11 local time, more than a thousand Chinese students demonstrated to defend their rights after enduring being cheated by their school and played tricks on by the government. Soon afterwards, policemen welcomed them with electric batons and shields.

More than half a year ago, the vocational school in Tianmen, Hupei made the promise that their students could enter the college entrance examination of technology to be held in April. More than 1,300 students paid several thousand RMB to their school for months of study, and now they find themself not listed as the examinees. After days of waiting, they were only asked to either get their money back or wait until next year. Then the ban on going outside the school made them even more angry. Finally, they rushed out to the local government, but they failed to meet the mayor because it was a weekend day. On Monday, March 11, regardless of the school’s requirement of their keeping waiting, the students flied out again and demonstrated with the words "Give back our lost time!" on their banner. The police came as fast as they could and dragged several students into the police car. As the students refused to go back to school and demanded the freedom of their companions, they were suppressed by the police, but the students in the police car were freed finally. Two students got injured and were sent to hospital.

As all the news about the incident has been deleted on Chinese internet, few Chinese know it. Jasic Workers' Support Group will keep focusing on the students and their struggle.
