New 2015 LEGO Set Images Leak, Including STAR WARS REBELS, CLONE WARS, and more! Leave it to merchandising to reveal new Star Wars Rebels tidbits, as what appears to be LEGO’s offering for 2015 (minus any Episode VII sets) winds up on Imgur. There’s not a lot of new stuff that comes across as terribly spoiler-filled, but then again, it’s hard to judge the context of the previously unseen sets from what little has been revealed. The most intriguing to me is the new red clad character who is included in the Ezra’s Speeder Bike set. I’m guessing we’ll find out more about him before too much longer. ← Previous Story Kevin Kiner Photos and Video at PlayFest 2014 Next Story → Star Wars Panels at New York Comic Con 2014There are a couple of really sweet LEGO sets for this year’s holiday season that you would probably want to get. The LEGO Halloween set is available right now, and the LEGO Thanksgiving set will be available in October. They both follow the same design as the LEGO Valentine’s Day and the LEGO Easter sets that we got in the spring;

small vignettes on an 8×8 stud base with lots of really nice elements and accessories. ➡ #40122 LEGO HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREAT SET: I agree with just2good’s video-review below that the dress for this minifig is kind of inappropriate, but still it is a nice, and a fairly rare piece. Also, the red bucket, olive-green grass piece, purple elements, masonry-bricks and orange pumpkins are always welcome additions to a LEGO collection. Here is the official description: Dress up as a witch for a Trick or Treat fright night! Role-play an eerie Halloween scene with this spooky LEGO Trick or Treat set! Dress up the girl minifigure as a witch, complete with pointy hat and broom, and take a bucket for the treats you hope to receive. Tiptoe past the bat perched on top of the dead tree to the doorstep of the haunted house. Watch out for the big spider and the tombstone on the front porch and be prepared for a big fright when a skeleton answers the door! Includes 2 minifigures with assorted accessories: a female and a skeleton. 1

rice: $9.99 – BUY HERE ➡ #40123 LEGO THANKSGIVING SET: As just2good mentions in the video-review above, this set is featured at the back of the instruction booklet of the Halloween set. There are so many good parts here it is ridiculous. Some of the rare pieces include the full turkey, the pie the inverted dome (used as a bowl for the apple), the green bottle, that white plate with tooth, the pitchfork, and the lady’s gray hair that so far was only used with one minifigure. This set is also just $10, so if you like the pieces you may even want to get several. It will be available in October. Talking about the holidays, don’t forget about Series 14 of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures as they work perfectly for Halloween. Also, all three of the LEGO Advent Calendars are now available: #75097 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, #60099 LEGO City Advent Calendar and #41102 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar. You can find them all under the Seasonal Items section of the Online LEGO Shop.

So what do you think? How do you like the LEGO Halloween and LEGO Thanksgiving sets? Are you planning to get either of them? Oo you have the previously released LEGO Valentine’s Day and LEGO Easter sets? Feel free to share your own thoughts in the comment section below! 😉

With a keen interest in LEGO himself, Richard regularly showcases his builds at local community events and offers children the chance to get building themselves. Having seen the joy that this brings to people, Richard set about contacting the charity Fairy Bricks and on Wednesday, 23 September 2015 his work was rewarded when he accompanied a delivery of 50 new LEGO sets and many smaller kits to the ward.

Richard Selby, who lives in Walthamstow, explained: “As an adult fan of LEGO, I know there's no better way of brightening up my day by creating something out of LEGO bricks. I wanted to make sure children in my local hospital could cheer themselves up with LEGO too, especially when they're in for a long stay in hospital.” Caroline Bunyard, Staff Nurse on Acorn Ward at Whipps Cross Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust said: “We are delighted to receive this generous donation by Fairy Bricks, and wish to thank them and Richard for his kindness in thinking of the children on Acorn Ward. “Play is an integral part of the care that we give to our young patients, providing a vital distraction for those who are in hospital for a long time or undergoing treatment as well as those who have recently been diagnosed with a serious illness. LEGO is particularly fantastic at bringing children together so that they build friendships on the ward, as well as a useful tool to express how they are feeling through building LEGO people and places when they would perhaps struggle to find the words.”

Charity Fairy Bricks regularly donates LEGO sets to hospitals across the UK, aiming to encourage imagination, creativity and learning through play. Kev Gascoigne, Chief Fairy at Fairy Bricks, said: “We were delighted when Richard decided to nominate Whipps Cross. It marks our fifth visit to London in the last twelve months and hopefully not our last in 2015. While we do operate on a very limited income, the feedback from hospital staff is fantastic and the LEGO will make a real difference to the children. Play in the recovery process is well documented and we take great pleasure in contributing to the wonderful work that Play Specialists carry out.” Barts Health NHS Trust With a turnover of £1.1 billion and a workforce of 14,000, Barts Health is the largest NHS trust in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers. The Trust’s five hospitals – St Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City, including the Barts Heart Centre, The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, Newham University Hospital in Plaistow, Whipps Cross University Hospital in Leytonstone and Mile End – deliver high quality compassionate care to the 2.5 million people of East London and beyond.
