It’s the most wonderful time of the year! LEGOLAND® Florida Resort kicked off the holiday season on Saturday, December 6th with a 30-foot LEGO® Christmas tree lighting! This marked the beginning of Christmas Bricktacular presented by Shutterfly®, continuing weekends in December. Don’t worry if you were unable to attend the event! We’ve got you covered with a full recap of the experience: The night began with the joyous sound of Christmas carolers singing all your favorite holiday songs including: Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Jingle Bells, and Feliz Navidad. To officially begin the awesome ceremony, LEGOLAND had a little help from some familiar characters. Emmet and Wyldstyle joined the celebration and pumped up the crowd to welcome LEGO® Santa and help with the highly anticipated countdown! Our Guests of Honor were over 200 Make-A-Wish visitors. Thanks to Merlin’s Magic Wand, the families were provided tickets to enjoy LEGOLAND Florida Resort for the day.
Four children were selected to help light the LEGO® tree which is made up of 270,000 LEGO® and DUPLO® bricks! The Tree Lighting marked the beginning of Christmas Bricktacular and other holiday events taking place during December at LEGOLAND Florida Resort. This holiday event is included in your park admission so be sure to take advantage by visiting weekends in December! Christmas Bricktacular presented by Shutterfly® takes place on December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21. Conveniently located in Fun Town, the shop is the perfect place to check off those LEGO® Christmas gifts for the holidays. Around the park, guests will find many festive decorations. However, the best is our LEGO® Christmas Tree located in the Market Plaza. Perfect for any family photo, this massive tree is made up of about 270,000 LEGO® & DUPLO® elements! There is even a tree lighting ceremony on December 6th! 4. LEGO® Santa’s Christmas Workshop VIP experience LEGO® Santa’s Christmas workshop is the perfect festive upgrade to any LEGO® fan’s Christmas build up. Enjoy a fun interaction with LEGO® Santa and Toy Soldier characters before meeting with a Master Model Builder to create an exclusive Christmas decoration to take home with you. This experience also includes holiday treats.
