We got our first look at 5 of 2017’s new Creator sets last week, and as we suspected, that wasn’t the full lineup. Here are two more Creator set sure to delight fans looking for something more than vehicles. The Beachside Townhouse follows in the vein of getaway homes, such as this year’s Lakeside Lodge (currently 36% off on Amazon), and is very similar to last year’s Beach Hut (currently available on Amazon). Meanwhile, Park Street Townhouse continues the scaled-down modulars style of Creator sets, like this year’s Corner Deli (currently 25% off on Amazon) and 2015’s Toy & Grocery Shop (currently 16% off on Amazon). Now it's time for you to check it out using the photo galleries below. Among the unique features are numerous London-centric bespoke models as well as a ‘Mosaic Maker’ machine which means you can buy your very own, one of a kind, personalised Lego mosaic portrait. The project to open the store started in late 2014 and the store itself took almost five months to build. There are over five tonnes of Lego big build models displayed within the store, utilising a total of over 1.7 million bricks.Oh, and don't forget to check out our guide to the best Lego sets as well. First Floor - this is where you'll find most of the sets to buy. You can sit inside the tube train and have your picture taken (we did it!)Ground floor - there's plenty of space for tourists to come in and buy the most popular sets. Lester - he's the mascot of the store. Just don't mention Brexit. Master Builder area - Lego says its master builders will often visit the store to give demonstrations. Pick and build - naturally you can pic and mix bricks as well as minifigure parts.'Endless aisle' - browse through sets on this big screen and summon assistance if you need it.
A robot version of R2-D2 roams the store upstairs. The tube is the largest Lego build in the store, made up of 637,903 bricks and took 3,399 hours to build. No idea if you can really post anything in this box, but it looks cool. This mosaic surrounds the stairwell and features 265,557 bricks. Lester took over 90 hours to build and features 24,500 bricks. The tube carriage features William Shakespeare, Robin Hood......as well as The Queen (she's on the other side, we couldn't see her as the window was covered) and this handsome chapThere's even a Lego tube map on the wall and Leicester Square station arch in the entrance.Here's the covered-up entrance There are penty of UK-centric touchesThe Moasic Maker machine is located on the first floor of the store. It costs £99 to have one done. It's like a photo booth and takes an image of your face and, eventually, spits out a box like this. This is the final result!The box contains a base plate (the same large one we've had for decades) as well as boxes of 1x1 squares in black, white, yellow and two shades of grey.
Very large sets feature heavily in the stock, among them the Mercedes-Benz Technics truck which is one of our favourites. There's also this bespoke Architecture set, exclusive to the London Store. UK-centric sets feature heavily on the ground floor. Finally we've seen the Firehouse in the wild! There's plenty of Lego Ideas stock - though we couldn't see the DeLorean. Das neue LEGO City Dschungel Thema gefällt mir richtig gut. Viele neue Tiere, tolle Farben. Das wird sogar tierisch gut! In der Heartlake City hat es geschneit! Die neuen LEGO Friends Sets durften leider nicht fotografiert werden, im Gegensatz zu den Vorjahren. Aber es geht im Sommer auf die Piste! Smmerhin dürfen wir euch diese Figur hier zeigen. Gibt es leider nicht zu kaufen. Näher ranzoomen dürfen wir leider nicht (nur mit den Augen). Aber: Wer findet im LEGO City Dschungel das Krokodil? N Vier The LEGO Batman Movie Sets, die im Sommer erscheinen, wurden gestern vorgestellt, waren heute in Nürnberg zu sehen, und durften nicht fotografiert werden. Scr Batwing sieht übrigens klasse aus. Nun, dann eben ein paar Protagonisten des Films in XXL. Von LEGO Star Wars durften leider, wie schon in den Vorjahren, in Nürnberg nur die Sets vom ersten Halbjahr fotografiert werden. Un
d LEGO Star Wars Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter 75168 haben wir bereits vorgestellt, aber hier sehr schön am Messestand in Szene gesetzt. Sehr gerne hätten wir mehr Nahaufnahmen gemacht, durften wir aber leider nicht. Das hier war eine der wenigen Ausnahmen… LEGO Juniors Disney Pixar Cars 3: Sechs Sets kündigen sich an. Wie bei Juniors üblich, gewiss mit einigen großen Teilen. Die LEGO Speed Champions gehen im Sommer wie gewohnt nicht in die zweite Runde, hier alle Sets des ersten Halbjahres in der Übersicht, Release im März. Auch die kommenden beiden LEGO Minifiguren Sammelserien 71018 und 71019 werden 3,99 Euro pro Figur (nicht Box…) kosten, das wurde uns auf der Spielwarenmesse bestätigt. Die Kartons verraten noch nicht viel, aber im Herbst startet da ja ein Ninjago Film im Kino… Auch hier gilt: Keine Einzelbilder waren erlaubt, aber ein paar LEGO City Dschungel Boxen im Zusammenspiel… Na, wer kommt denn da im LEGO City Dschungel angeschlichen? 🙂
