Until, I finally realized what their little mini-build was for, then it all made sense: New LEGO Super Hero Sets I was pleasantly surprised to see new Spider-Man LEGO sets at my local toy shop.

I picked up the new Ghost Rider set: Heading into Summer with LEGO at Toys R Us When I go to Toys R Us, the most interesting finds are the little polybags and small boxed sets that are usually not on my radar. This time they had the Ninjago battle pack, and I wasn’t expecting to find the snowman set. I had remembered that being a seasonal promotion only at LEGO Stores — not something you find in June at Toys R Us. LEGO at Toys R Us, Spring 2016 Whenever I look at LEGO at a store like Toys R Us, what is always fascinating is seeing what I would call the “leftover” themes — the sets or themes that I can’t believe are still on the shelves, long after LEGO has shined a promotional spotlight on them. This time, there was that one Hobbit set on the shelf that jumped out at me. Probably the highlight of this trip was the Captain America polybag. First Trip to the LEGO Store in 2016 My first trip to the LEGO Store this year, their Flatiron store. It was nice to see the new modular, the Ghostbusters HQ, and others.

My honest take: I can’t keep justifying spending $200+ on so many of these big sets. I’ll still be collecting, but fewer and fewer purchases: LEGO at Barnes & Noble, January 2016 I’m still surprised that Barnes & Noble continues to carry so many toys, but it was nice to see some 2016 LEGO sets on the shelves already. LEGO at Toys R Us, just after Christmas It was fascinating to see the LEGO stock at Toys R Us, a week after Christmas. The Star Wars sets were almost completely wiped out, as expected. A bunch of 2016 sets were on the shelf. The rest was a mixed bag. LEGO at Target, November 2015 Well, the toy sections are pretty much geared up for the holidays. Here is LEGO at my local Target in early November, 2015: LEGO at Target, Fall 2015 Here is a look at the LEGO section at my local Target:Toys R Us Coupons and Promo Codes Hand-Picked Toys R Us Deals Diggin Active Skootcase Ride-On (Assorted) Toysrus: $50 off All Razor Hovertrax Electric Scooters w/ FS, from $349.99

Meet a few of the awesome Wish Kids we are honoring this World Wish Day: Atlanta – Hope and Faith: Meet Hope and Faith, twin sisters who are both battling a rare chromosomal abnormality called Koolen DeVries Syndrome and are at risk for SUDEP (sudden unexplained death in epilepsy). They will celebrate their 9th birthdays this month and to make it even more exceptional, Make-A-Wish will reveal that they will both receive the wish of a lifetime during their extraordinary day at Toys“R”Us. Faith loves treehouses and dreams of having her own “super special” one even going as far as researching and creating a list of everything that would make it the most awesome place just for her.  Hope has always enjoyed looking at old family photos; some of her favorites are of the Alaskan trip her parents and brother took. Hope’s wish is to make similar memories with her family by taking a trip together to Alaska. Washington, D.C. – Eli: Eli, who will turn 10 this year, has been battling a blood disorder.

He’s dreamed of having a LEGO clubhouse – a place where he can play with and display his LEGO creations. Eli will get just that when his wish is revealed on World Wish Day during his Toys“R”Us celebration event, where he will also get to stock up on the coolest building sets while he is in-store. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer, in January 2015, Mason will turn 10 this month. When Mason was given the opportunity to have his wish come true, he knew Hawaii was the perfect choice. Fascinated by the volcanoes, beaches, waves, flowers and everything else Hawaiian, he wants to experience the island with his family and utilize his “bionic leg” to hang glide, swim, surf and explore. Mason will learn that his dream is not just a wish, but that it will become a reality when his wish is revealed during his #AwesomeBirthday event on April 29. Los Angeles – Nico: Meet Nico, who at the age of 6 was diagnosed with osteosarcoma cancer. This month he will celebrate his 8th birthday.

During his time in the hospital, Niko built LEGO sets to help stay occupied and keep his mind off treatments. When he found out he was eligible for a wish, he knew his ultimate trip would be to go to LEGOLAND. Nico’s wish will be revealed on April 29 at Toys“R”Us, he will get to stay at the LEGOLAND hotel so he can build, play and ride the LEGOLAND train! Julio, who will turn 4 this month, has a smile that can brighten up any room. Born prematurely, he suffered an intestinal infection which required him go through intensive surgery. The doctors warned that he may never talk or walk. Defying all of the odds, Julio is not only learning to communicate verbally, he has started to become a little chatter box!  His wish is to have the biggest birthday party ever and his oversized celebration will start when it is revealed at Toys“R”Us on World Wish Day. Battling an uncontrollable seizure disorder most of his life, Mason is turning 4 this year. A true inspiration to all children, he has not let the disorder stop him from enjoying the things he loves, like playing with his brothers, reading books, climbing and his favorite – running around outside.
