The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts - it exhibits collections ranging from Ancient Egypt up to modern days. Until August 20 you can find there a temporary exhibition - Recycle about how technologies have influenced our life and Art.
If you face the main building there is one more on the left. It stores an impressive collection of impressionists and rare works of Claude Monet, Pissarro etc.
The Tretiakov Gallery
There you can find the most renowned Russian masters from the ancient times.
Note that the collection of contemporary art is located in another building in Museon Park.

Cathedral of Christ the Savior
The main Church in Moscow. It has a view deck on top.
During the Soviet times it was bombed by the government and destroyed because the religion was outlawed at these times. A swimming pool was built there.
The best view is from the bridge. Even better during the sunset:)
Red square
GUM is the main department store. Look inside for vintage halls and soviet ice-cream. Come back in the evening when the lights are on.
The Saint Basil's Church - there is a legend that Saint Basil was blinded so that not to build one more construction like this one.
Mausoleum- Lenin is lying there.
State historical museum - honestly, I am not sure it will be of great interest for you.
Kremlin as an official workplace for our President. There are tours to the inside of the kremlin walls including a visit to the oldest cathedrals and square inside this complex.

Bolshoi Theatre
It is a world-renowned theatre where you can see the traditional ballet. Maybe you will be lucky to find a cheap ticket but it is almost impossible that's why you can book a tour around the theatre and enjoy its lavish designs.

3) Best walking areas:
Gorky park and Museon
To walk from one to another pro you will need to go UNDER the bridge along the embankment.
These are the most beloved parks and the most popular ones in Moscow. You can enjoy a cafe, a rented bike or a boat, free sport classes, free dancing area, lots of workshops or festivals here.
Make sure you find such spots as La Boule cafe, the swan lake and the singing fountains.

The world of Children this is the translation for the main department store for children is worth visiting. There is a big square in the center with a clock and there are good views from the roof.

For ground-breaking and extraordinary designers, healthy and organic food market.
Respublika
It's a chain of bookshops. Here you can find books including special editions and English ones, stationery, coffee and library.
TSUM is for luxury shopping.
Other shopping malls: Evropeiskiy, Afimall, Metropolis.
Concept stores by Russian designers: Kuznetsky Most 20; Podium Market; Porta9 (shoes).
5) Best coffee places:
Russia has a distinctive coffee drink called RAF. Once a loyal client at a cafe asked to make a coffee with foamed cream instead of milk and add more sugar than usual. When barista tried it he discovered more delicate and creamy taste. Since the name of the client was Rafael, the drink was named after him.
The best place to try it is COFFEEMANIA from where it takes its origins.

5) Best places to eat.
Syrniki is a traditional Russian desert made of cottage cheese. Best for breakfast or a tea break.
Borsch is a traditional soup made of tomatoes and cabbage.
Other dishes include pelmeni (dough and meat); pancakes with red caviar; kotleta po-kievsky (chicken with green and oil inside).
Doctor Zhivago
It is a posh but reasonably priced restaurant which serves traditional cuisine and offers a great view on the Red Square. Better book in advance.
