Foam spray adhesive repairs damages in memory foam. Memory foam is prone to wear over time, especially when subjected to daily use, such as on a pillow or mattress topper. Sometimes, this foam may even tear. In some cases, such as when the torn portions still pair up without any missing material, the damage can be repaired with an adhesive. Not all adhesives will work with this type of foam; some may even cause it to dissolve or disintegrate, causing even more damage. Use a spray adhesive specifically designed for memory foam to ensure success. Cover the work area with newspaper. Place the torn memory foam atop the paper with the damaged area facing up, nearest to you. Aligning the foam in this fashion makes the adhesive-application process easier. Carefully open and close the tear to determine the extent of the damage. Place wax paper on the foam around the tear, if you like, to help prevent adhesive from getting onto undamaged areas -- the wax paper is optional. Spray adhesives can be messy, causing surfaces to get sticky.

Pull one side of the tear away from the other to create a gap large enough to apply spray adhesive. Enlist a friend's help if this makes it easier for you to spray the foam. Spray inside the tear with adhesive, covering both sides of the tear within the foam; be sure some of the adhesive reaches near the edges to create a lasting bond. Allow adhesive to dry for 10 to 15 seconds, then press the foam sides together, closing the tear. Hold in place for 20 or 30 seconds. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. How long will it take for my Signature Sleep mattress to fully recover after unpacking? You may sleep on your new Signature sleep mattress as soon as it's unpacked. However, depending on the temperature and length of time it has been packed, you should allow up to 48 hours for the mattress to expand to its proper shape and size. My Signature Sleep mattress has a slight odor, is it normal?Yes, this is very normal since the mattress has been wrapped in a plastic bag. Let your mattress breathe, by removing the plastic bag and waiting a few days before putting the sheets on. This odor is harmless and may take up to 7 days for the odor to fully dissipate. How do I clean my Signature Sleep mattress?Your mattress can be spot washed using a damp cloth and water.

The use of washing detergent and a washing machine is not recommended as it may void the warranty. Does my new Signature Sleep mattress require a mattress pad?We recommend using a mattress pad, in order to prolong your mattress life and to protect and keep your bedding clean. Stains, soiling, fluid penetration or other signs of abuse may void the warranty. Can I put my Signature Sleep mattress on my current foundation?Signature Sleep mattresses have been designed to be used with any quality foundation or platform bed, providing it has the proper support. Using an improper bed frame or foundation may void the warranty and make the mattress ineligible for repair or replacement. My Signature Sleep mattress is wrinkled, why? Your new Signature Sleep mattress fabric may be wrinkled in particular areas. This is completely normal due to the compression packaging process and will smooth out over time and use. When memory foam rips and requires gluing, be careful not to use just any old glue you have lying around the house.

The same advice applies when you are making something out of memory foam or using it in a project. This material is ideal for use in mattresses or in other projects due to the comfort it provides. Be sure to use a spray foam adhesive for such a job. It can be found at most hardware stores, as well as from various online retailers. Once you have the appropriate materials, the first step is to lay down old newspapers to protect the surface you are using. Prepare the pieces of memory foam on top of the newspaper and make sure that they are lined up and ready to be pressed together. Lightly mist the ends of the foam being glued with the spray foam adhesive. Allow the pieces to sit for about 15-seconds. Once the ends are sticky enough, make sure that they are even and exactly how you want them. Firmly press them together. Follow the drying instructions on the adhesive and you're all finished. We strive for perfection in every facet of your sleep-filled nights. That said, on the off chance your mattress isn't to your requirements, we ask that you register your mattress online or with the warranty card that came with your bed.

Copy the Warranty Code and 12 digit Serial Number into the spaces provided below. The number left of the slash mark is the period for repair or replacement at no charge (except you are responsible for transportation and inspection costs), and the number right of the slash mark is the total warranty period. To calculate the fee for repair or replacement after the 'no charge' period use this simple formula: (Retail Price) X (Number of Years Owned) Divided by the number right of the slash mark.
