On arrival we felt so welcoming when we met the friendly staff & then the lovely owner.During our stay we received every comfort, and very delicious breakfast that was served in the fantastic environment.
We enjoyed staying in our cosy room (Room 7) having shortbread biscuits and excellent selection of hot drinks. We also enjoyed reading the interesting books & leaflets about local areas in the lounge.Our room had a sea view and we enjoyed watching both sunrise & sunset.We both were so delighted to have found this wonderful relaxing treat for our stay and we look forward to return soon. Among many "excellent" ratings there was one that was aggressive with a rating of "terrible". We don't like bullies and this influenced our choice Our decision turned out to be well justified. Nothing is perfect but this hotel has everything you need, a warm and friendly atmosphere, space, comfort, excellent facilities and high quality food. All areas were spotlessly clean. Room Tip: We feel that all rooms have their advantages and are adequately described on the website.
Lovely warm welcome from Mark on our arrival as always.Stayed in the Enchanted room, with a sleigh bed and memory foam mattress, on the top floor this time. We have previously stayed in the majority of the rooms, all of which are unique and offer outstanding comfort. Enjoyed lovely freshly cooked breakfasts, which were filling and accompanied by lots of orange juice and tea from Joni.We often visit Llandudno to see family and over the years have found that the Clontarf is the best in Llandudno and would not choose any other now. Room Tip: All rooms are great. stayed for one night 21/2/17,room 3 it was lovely and spacious spotlessly clean,shower cabinet amazing. Breakfast lovely and fresh quality ingrediants. Booked again for a 2 night stay in romantic room with hubby. Lovely hotel, very clean, breakfast was excellent set us up for the day, lots of walks , enjoyed meals out and not to far to walk, excellent customer service and made to feel welcome this is our second time at the Clontarf Hotel and we will be back again, thank you Mark and Joni, x
Recently enjoyed two nights at Clontarf Hotel, Llandudno. Overall, impressed and well satisfied. Set in a quiet residential area under the Great Orme and close to the beach, this hotel offered a warm welcome, very tasty and wholesome breakfasts and spacious accommodation. We took Room 2 (1st floor, overlooking Great Ormes Road, and looking up to the impressive Great Orme) which had a four poster and a jacuzzi-bath. It is at the front of the hotel. Very spacious room, well appointed, very good selection of toiletries. What with very comfy bed and quietness of the hotel (and surrounding area) overnight, enjoyed a really good sleep both nights. Limited car parking is available off road on the hotel property but if full no there should be (as far as I can see) no problem leaving the car just outside on surrounding, quiet and wide public roads. Hosts very welcoming and the breakfast menu is comprehensive (hot dishes and/or usual buffet items including fruit) with service good. Sampled the full Welsh breakfast as well as pancakes and bacon - both tasty and ample.
Host always asked if there was anything else she could get for us at the end of our meal. Breakfast certainly set you up for the day. It's about a 15 minute (not overly demanding I would say) stroll from the hotel into Llandudno town centre (bars, pubs, restaurants etc) through some quiet residential avenues (pretty straight route). Took a taxi in to town one night - cost around £3.00 and took about 5 mins. This property is a great find for enjoying Llandudno as well as offering a great base to tour North Wales. En route home stopped off in Betws-y- Coed which was well worth a couple of hours exploring. For those into walking/hiking, and don't already know, Betws offers a range of outdoor clothing/kit shops. But worth a stop any way to view the river, bridge, surrounding hills and woods and so on. Room Tip: Room 2 has a 4-poster, en suite Jacuzzi and views to front of the property across a residential area... Selected this hotel because of it's facilities, price and reviews on TripAdvisor and were not at all disappointed.
