Bulky itemsIf you cannot recycle or donate bulky items such as your furniture or white goods (for example fridges or washing machines) then we can collect and dispose of them for a fee. We can collect a wide range of items and a guide of what we can and cannot take can be found in the related documents section. The list is not definitive so contact us if you have something that is not shown. We charge £32 for up to five items, any additional items are then charged a further £3 each. We will collect and dispose of up to ten bulky items in one collection. Bulky item collection is by agreement only and you have to pay in advance. On an agreed date the items will need to be left by the kerb or from wherever your rubbish is usually collected. We cannot allocate time slots. If you receive Council Tax Reduction or Housing Benefit you are eligible to a 50% discount on the charges above. This discount will only apply to one collection each year. There are many charities that will welcome donations, we have listed a few below but there will be others that exist in your area: In addition to the above the British Heart Foundation will arrange to collect items that have a resale value: book a British Heart Foundation collection use the reference 'West Suffolk' when booking a collection. Alternatively you can drop off items for resale to one of their local shops, find my nearest British Heart Foundation shop We can also collect and dispose of sheds that have been dismantled and broken into pieces with all the nails removed. Collection and disposal of sheds is charged at £46.50 for a standard size shed of 1.83 metres by 1.22 metres (6ft by 4ft). If you have a larger shed that needs collecting contact us for a quote.
