• Oversees compliance matters related to FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII and other employment regulations • Investigates issues in regards to harassment, discrimination, working conditions, disciplinary action, employee and applicant appeals and grievances • Provides consultation and mediation to management regarding work-related issues, conflicts and discipline policy/procedure questions • Acts as the point of appeal for employees related to employee complaints and ADA cases • Designs and trains HR Representatives in investigating employee relations issues • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements • Ensures polices are reviewed and amended as needed based on changes to legislation and/or internal processes and practices • Participates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, programs and other company initiatives • Acts as the initial contact for the DOL, OSHA, EEOC and the state governments
• Responds to any EEOC, DOL and OSHA charges or lawsuits filed against the Company in partnership with internal and external legal counsel • Plans, directs and manages acquisition activities for the HR department • Oversees the handling of worker’s compensation and unemployment compensation issues • Develops the operating budget for the HR department, forecast anticipated expenses, and ensures all functions operate within the approved amount • Develops, implements, and manages the performance review processes • Recommends measures to improve methods, performance and quality of service • Keeps abreast of employment law and current legislation in relation to HR • Provide leadership, direction and mentorship to team • Performs coaching and provides reviews at least annually • Completes other projects and special assignments as requested by supervisor and/or Senior Management • Employment and Labor Laws
