Within Reach is a thrift store that combines wonderful donors and eager customers with great volunteers and staff. Carefully curated and thoughtfully laid out, the store fosters a pleasant and relaxed shopping experience unlike any you’ve had at a thrift store before. But don’t just take our word for it. Within Reach boasts a strong core of return customers who visit us monthly, weekly, and even daily. Not to mention out-of-town visitors who always make it a point to stop and shop with us! In fact, our customers are so faithful that we started handing out Frequent Shopper Cards. These popular cards earn customers a $5 coupon after every $50 of purchases. We have also started offering reusable Within Reach shopping bags, which earn customers an immediate discount!

Shoppers purchase a bag for just $3.00, and it gets them 10% off every time they bring it in. Combine your bag with a Frequent Shopper Card, and you’ll be raking in the discounts! The Within REACH Resale Shop sells quality women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing and accessories. All our clothes are checked by volunteers for any damage or stains, so you can feel confident that our stock is all in good condition. We even have a special section for Boutique Clothing, where you can find your favorite brands at hugely discounted prices — including such labels as Chico’s, Vera Bradley, Coldwater Creek, Anne Klein, Cole Haan, Vera Wang, Carhartt, Coach, and Ralph Lauren, just to name a few. We also have an attached Home Store, which boasts a wide selection of quality decor, kitchenware, furniture, lamps, bedding, pictures, books, baskets, small appliances, and more. Antique hunters should be sure to check out our ever-changing stock of vintage china and tea sets, porcelain dolls, and rare art prints.

Our generous donors are the foundation of the store, because the high quality goods that they donate become available for incredible bargains—resulting in a fun and rewarding shopping experience. You'll see a blending of the Colonial and Primitive in the furnishings, with an eye to pieces that will last more than just a few years, furniture we expect to be passed to the next generation.

Many pieces are Amish-crafted in Lancaster PA. We also offer lots of home dcor items, some specific to Primitive, but many will fit in most homes. Located in the mountains of Haywood County, North Carolina, a ruggedly, beautiful place: The young green trees in the spring; cool mountain breezes in the summer, brilliant color and harvest time in the fall, and a white mantle of snow in the winter, every season is a great time for a visit. It is in this backdrop that an old-fashioned downtown area begs to be explored. The tree-lined brick sidewalks of Historic Downtown Waynesville whisper of simpler days when time didn't move so quickly. We invite you to stop in for a chat. Here in North Carolina, near the Great Smoky Mountains, we still enjoy a more relaxed pace, but you will find plenty of things to do in the area. The first thing on your list should be to drop by to see us! We are both great talkers in our own way. For the story of how the name Olde Brick House came about, click here.
