In addition to the generous financial support we receive from the community, New Life Center receives countless in-kind donations in the form of furniture, dishes, bedding, miscellaneous household objects, clothing, shoes, toiletries and other items. Many of these donations go directly to serve the needs of our residents while in shelter and as they leave for more permanent housing options. These donations are critically important for the families of New Life Center since most arrive with little more than the clothes they are wearing. Every year, we receive more donated material than our residents can use. Items not used by our residents are sold at Hope’s Closet and all proceeds from the sale are used to support the Center. Please know that every donation—whether used at the Center or sold to benefit our programs—is used for the direct benefit of families at New Life! In addition, Hope’s Closet: Provides storage for items needed at the Center and Operates the “Dress for Success ” program providing work-appropriate clothing for women participating in the Center’s Jobs Program.
