"I really want to help people find their own treasures," Muller said.Furniture, art, kitchenware, gifts, accessories, jewelry, children's gifts, and more are available at the store, which from the outside looks like a home. In fact, items are on display as if they were in a house. Muller has been collecting and restoring items since she was a child, and remembers bringing items home and her father helping her create something new."I brought home an old chair and he taught me how to spin on the wood lathe – it was taking something old and having it useful again, but making it a little bit more your own and putting your own touch on it," the South Windsor resident said.
Her father designed the shop and is the "Crandall" in the store's name.Muller runs the store with her friend, Beth, and they both display their own individual style. Customers are kept in mind throughout the store, especially when pricing items, because Muller said she wants to make sure that all customers can go home with something."You really need to look out for the customers that way," she said. "I had one person say, 'Oh, you know should be more high end and of things more expensive,' but that's not the customer I want."Muller said that genuine bonds have been formed over the years between she and her customers."There's been people that come in pregnant, and now their kids are off in college," she said.She added that a perk of being a business owner is that she can allow herself to make decisions based on what she thinks a customer needs during a visit."I can see a kid behaving and give them a toy or someone having a bad day and sell them items for less, Muller said.Muller encourages any and every one to see what her store has to offer.
