The residents of New Milford need a sticker that is renewable from July 1 to July 1. Brookfield and Sherman residents need to obtain their own sticker from their Town Hall. There is a detailed flyer available at the Recycling Center and the Public Works office. The fee to use the Center is $20.00 per year for residents, $40.00 for Commercial (10 employees or less) and the first sticker per household is FREE for Senior Citizens (65+). The Center DOES NOT accept CASH, just checks or a punch card. Punch Cards are sold in the following locations during their normal hours of operation: Public Works Administration Office, Town Clerks Office and Library. Each card has a value of $32.00 in increments of $0.50, $1.00 and $2.00. The Recycling Center accepts household waste from NM, Sherman and Brookfield residents every day during the hours of operation and until 3:00pm on Saturdays. The average garbage bag is $3.00 for NM residents and $3.50 for Sherman or Brookfield.
