Our Stay at the Columbia Inn at Peralynna Manor on December 16, 2016 We heard about this special Bed an Breakfast from a co-worker 5 years ago and they were very pleased with their stay and had the Best breakfast and classy scenery along with a live pianist. We look forward to your return! Good stay, except for disruptive housekeeping on October 17, 2016 Overall, our stay at the Columbia Inn was pretty nice. The building is beautiful, the room was nice, and service at the beginning was attentive. Food in the morning was also good. The negative part of the experience was the fact that housekeeping walked into our room FOUR times while we were in bed or using the restroom - 3 times before standard checkout at 11, and once more before our delayed checkout (which had been approved by management) at noon. The interruptions made the stay pretty stressful, and management needs to address it. Otherwise, the stay was enjoyable. Incredible Service and Great Staff on May 25, 2016 The staff is absolutely incredible. It's a beautiful and very comfortable place to stay. I am delighted that I found it as I had been staying at the chain hotels in Columbia when I come up on business. This is considerably nicer. One of the great things is that each room is different - all are very comfortable - and the staff is incredible (bears repeating!)

Not the most social of folks. The hotel itself was comfortable and pleasant. The library and game room seemed fun. The grounds were also very relaxing and the breakfast was great. Just like home cooking! I do have two negatives. There was no phone in the room to reach someone at the front desk. And the neighbors were arguing all night long. We didnt want to leave our room as it was a romantic getaway. It would have been nioce to have a room with not fighting neighbors or some way to reach the front desk to have them come and ask the neighbors to be respectful. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced by not having a phone in your guest room. After 19 years of providing phones we recently had them all removed for lack of use. One of a kind European elegance hospitality on December 10, 2015 I traveled for business in December 2015 and selected The Columbia Inn for location convenience and for the customer high rating. To my pleasant surprise, I found the Columbia Inn to be the most relaxing and home feeling experience from all my busy travels in the last three months, where I had to be in a new place almost every day. Refreshing and comforting, the suite I stayed in was furnished with high taste and quality, a fireplace in each room, a dining table, microwave and fridge, two bathrooms equipped with jet tub and multiple jet showers, a balcony with great views. The breakfast was freshly prepared by the cook on order, and it was deliciously fresh and tasty. The dining area is furnished in an European elegant style, with large tables covered with tablecloth, and french doors leading to the private deck with outdoor sitting, where you could enjoy the nicely maintained back yard.
Every evening after 6pm the owners entertain a complementary snack and wine tasting. I had a reservation at the Columbia Inn few weeks prior made through a booking agency on line, and never made it due to business travel changes. The owners were so nice to call me back to let me know that if I chose to stay at their Inn another time, they were offering me a free night for the night I could not come last time. I came few weeks later and I benefited of one night free besides the night I booked for the trip. What an awesome experience, it never happened to me such a pleasant thing before. Overall I was totally pleased and very happy with my stay at the Columbia Inn at Peralynna. After two months of very busy travel, I finally found a place that made me feel at home and relaxed, a place that brought back deep European melancholia... A night a way from home on April 13, 2015 The Columbia Inn at Peralynna Manor is a beautiful historic property. My wife and I wanted a night away from the kids to celebrate our anniversary and this place met all our needs. We stayed in the Y suite. If you are looking for a bed and breakfast to blow your mind, this is not the place to go. The breakfast was good, but not impressive. The rooms had everything they described, but wasn't as you expected. For example, a fireplace in our room, was a pilot heater with fake flames. Also, be sure to ask for a tour of the place. When we arrived, we were given a tour of only the first floor. After an evening out, my wife and I explored the property a bit, but did not know of the billiard room downstairs. If you are looking for a place close to Baltimore and Washington DC, but away from the city noise, then this place is your answer.

We originally built the Inn with gas lines to each room for gas fireplaces but were advised by our fire inspector that real fireplaces and gas fireplaces in bedrooms would be a potential fire hazard, so the gas lines were capped off and electric fireplaces installed. We have also reviewed your gracious feedback in detail with our staff and reiterated the importance of touring our guests. We are delighted to hear that you will be returning to visit us again in the near future and look forward to spoiling you with our award winning service and exceeding your expectations. Ted, the front desk man, was hilariously quirky and accommodating. We went the day after Valentine's Day and they had a jazz trio playing and wine for the guests to enjoy during the show! The room was simple yet cozy and very warm in the cold winter. The bed was the best bed ever- including my own. Our room had a detached private bathroom, which we were nervous about, but ended up being no trouble at all. The breakfast the next morning was the bomb- I recommend the pancakes WITH ENTHUSIASM!
