Get Rid of Your Old Mattress Looking for a place in the Twin Cities to recycle your mattress? Check out Second Chance Recycling. For a small fee they will pick up your mattress at your address. You just need to bring it to the curb. If your mattress is still in good condition, you may want to also consider donating it. However, remember why you are getting rid of it and consider if someone else would really want to sleep on it. Most trash haulers in the Twin Cities metro area will take your mattress at the curb for a small fee. Just contact your trash hauler for instructions. Minneapolis residents can have their mattress at the curb on recycling days with a tag that says, SOLID WASTE. A separate truck will arrive the following day to take the mattress.
