» Bed and Breakfasts in Lagos Newest Reviews for Ocean View Lagos (Adults Only) 눉There was a lot of added construction to offer the services, thus it felt constrained and a bit small inside. More openness could be better.눇Awesome reception and well give instructions. The whole place is like a private home/villa within beach resort with their own pool and bar. Maybe when you stay longer than for two days you have a chance to spend time there too :). You can't consume your own drinks/food in there but you can buy everything from the owner with a decent price - wouldn't consider bothering to buy stuff from the shop (wherever they are) because prices are comparable to the shop - so why bother. For us this was no obstacle. Breakfast was very good with freshly pressed orange juice and 'nozzle coffee'. Very traditional portuguese breakfast. With all the new real estate forming around there the 'ocean view' could be damaged but the beaches are very close to enjoy the full nature of Algarve.
On our arrival we were suggested to make a walk along the beach side - best decision ever! Beaches are Very close but when you are daring to go and walk along the cliffs you get views and experiences which no money can buy. That was truly the best advice to follow - do explore the cliffs and visit some private beaches (which can be tricky to enter). Center is a bit far, but not too much: 15 -20 min of walk. I was able to walk home even when being quite wasted :D. 눉It is called Ocean View, but our view was of a 20 year old caravan permanently parked one meter from our only window, spoiling any view there might have been. Also, there is a 30 minute walk to get to the town centre. There is building work on the plot beside the hotel. Looks like another hotel or apartment block.눇Breakfast good value if booked when you check in. 눇Apartment option was incredible and staff made sure all needs were accounted for 눉A member of staff didn't want to give me a knife to cut my banana that i bought at the shop because he said they provided all the food.
Not sure I have encountered this at a hostel before, didn't think that part was great.눇Place was very clean and very quiet and peaceful. The bed very comfortable. 눉The boss has been really rude with me. U've got to pay for everything, even for store luggage and check out after 11am. The hotel is a bit of mess. There were notes stuck everywhere and at the entrance a mass of stuff.눇The girl at the reception (brown hair) is really kind and lovely 눉I got very sick and could not leave the room. Still, the staff did not allow me to eat any food in the room. 눉2 single beds, pillows and mattresses could be upgraded눇Owner & Staff were amazing!!! 눉The price of the drinks on the menu in the room does not correspond with the actual price.눇Nice welcome by receptionist, breakfast is oké. 눉Room was too small, no AC only fan, toilet smelt bad and smell came into bedroom, could not bring drinks from outside of the hotel, bed was uncomfortable and pillows were lumpy.눇Nice pool
눉Having booked an airport transfer we were due to arrive late, as confirmed with the hotel. This was delayed by the transfer company. When notifying the hotel by phone that we would be late the receptionist gave us a load of hassle for arriving late and that we should have known and booked a private transfer. If it was such a problem, they should put on transfers themselves.눇The female staff there were brilliant, they really went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is cheap- it's best to view it as a very nice hostel, and the facilities were very good for the price. 눇Great staff, excellent little pool with a bar beside it, 15 minutes from the beach. 눉One of the staff acted a little bit weird. 눇Nice pool and comfortable terrace, billiard table. Location good with a car. 눇The male owner was incredibly rude every time we interacted. He should not be in this business. He doesn't like people. His wife was nice along with the other staff. They should have a lock on the dorm room door
