We want to break up the mysterious fog around this issue so you know what to budget for when massage is in your company's near future (lucky!). Chair massage pricing is always calculated by TOTAL HOURS. These hours are determined using a few different variables: Now you don’t need to know the numbers for every one of these variables. To come up with some solid options for your massage event, you only really need to know two of the above listed pieces of info to come up with an exact value. We typically recommend this pricing method for small and medium businesses because they can usually determine how many people they want to provide massages for very easily with a company email or a simple sign up sheet. In which case you would need to know two things:
Let’s say you want to put on a massage day for your employees and you have 20 people receiving 15 minute massages. That would be a total of 5 hours. Depending on the chair massage rates the company is charging, you are probably looking at $200-500 for that event. For this example and for math’s sake, let’s say they charge $100 an hour. Then the cost is $500. For our clients, we have an easy massage quote generator on our website that will tell them exactly what they will need to pay. But sometimes you don’t know how many people will be participating in your massage day, so in that case, use option two or three to determine chair massage costs. This option is best for larger companies, or companies with a specific time frame in mind. You would just multiply 4 therapists by 4 hours and you have 16 total hours. If the rate is $100 an hour (again, for easy math’s sake), you would pay $1600 for this event. Many organizations aren’t sure what they want or need for their massage event. But most companies at least know what they can spend. Everyone has a budget. If you just have that number, a great massage company should be able to give you a list of options that will work well for you. For instance, a company of 600 people is having a health fair from 9am-1pm, and they want to provide chair massages at the health fair. People will be trickling in and out all day and they don’t know how many people will be able to get a massage, but they know their budget is $2000. Again, for math’s sake let’s use the $100 an hour rate to determine cost. With a budget of $2000, they can do 20 total hours of massage. Their event only runs from 9am-1pm, so that means they can have 5 therapists onsite for that four hour block to provide massages for their employees at the health fair.
