Martha Rosler
Dicecream Magazine🔳Martha Rosler (born 1943) works in video, photography, text, installation, and performance.
Her work focuses on the public sphere, exploring issues from everyday life and the media to architecture and the built environment, especially as they affect women.
She asks us to pay attention to what is happening even if it is not occurring within our own environments and to consider the role that the media has in controlling how we perceive world events.
Rosler is also known for her prolific writing and theory on the role of photography in art, as well as her interest in public spaces.
