Key Roles & Responsibilities:

The mission of this role is to help our clients win by understanding their Marketing ROI, optimizing their online and offline media, and by applying our other forward-looking recommendations. To do this the candidate will understand client needs and challenges, apply robust analytical/technical expertise of Marketing Mix Modeling and other analytical solutions.

The Leader is expected to reframe and challenge the way clients view their businesses, marketing spendings.

The individual in this role will provide guidance and coach an ambitious team of analytic consultants and cultivate client relationships through top class delivery and strong engagement. This role will ultimately lead the team to drive measurable outcomes for clients, in turn driving organic growth for Nielsen’s business.

 

To achieve this mission, the individual will be responsible to:

  • Display consultative/challenger sales behaviors, proactively identifying sales leads and actively listening to client needs
  • Converting leads to sales by engaging potential clients in meaningful discussions, taking control of the conversation
  • Promoting Nielsen and generating demand through presentations at conferences and similar external events
  • Owning and delivering the revenue target and maximizing cross-selling opportunities.
  • Co-lead client relationships with client consultants for Marketing ROI projects, and ensure study deliverables meet high analytical quality standards while providing insights which are actionable and reflect Nielsen’s commitment to top class consultancy
  • While focusing on marketing ROI, also where appropriate leverage Nielsen’s extensive portfolio of analytic capabilities, software/dashboards, thought leadership, data assets, media measurement, and other resources to provide holistic solutions for clients
  • Provide training and necessary support for internal teams so they can be fully equipped to sell, execute, manage, and service marketing effectiveness projects
  • Mentor/Coach the local Nielsen consulting team and facilitate their professional development
  • Act as an ambassador in their country/region of sustainable high performance concept and implement its practices
  • Reports directly to Regional Marketing Effectiveness Practice Leader, dotted line to the Managing Director/Market Leader

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Experience in analysis and consulting of promotion channels
  • Knowledge of Marketing Mix Modeling is a plus
  • Managerial experience
  • Strategic sales and business development competency
  • Strong negotiator and influencer
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong professional networks and relationships
  • Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Mature, proactive, team player
  • Understanding of statistical tools like R, SPSS is a plus
