Clothing, outdoor furnishings, grills and furniture are all good bets if you are looking for bargains. You can also find some deals on mattresses, but the  best deals will be on those summer items – bathing suits,  sandals, grilling items and outdoor equipment.




Here are a few deals to consider. Amazon: There’s a range of items on sale this weekend from camping gear (25 percent off K2 Camp Gear) to laptops to American flags. American Eagle: take 25 to 60 percent off during the AE End Summer Clearance Sale, which ends Sept. 5 Ashley Furniture: There is a 20 percent  off storewide sale at Ashley. Best Buy: Best Buy is offering up to 25 percent  off its selection of 4K Ultra HD TVs. If you purchase appliances totaling more than $4,000 you can get a $400 Best Buy Gift Card (some restrictions apply). Bloomingdales: Bloomies is taking 60 percent off various items this weekend, and if you shop online, shipping is free with orders of $150 or more. Bed, Bath & Beyond: You can get a $300 gift card when you buy certain mattress sets through Sept. 12. DSW:  Is offering end-of-season shoes at $19.94 and under. Guess: Has 30 to 50 percent off its entire site through Monday. hhgregg: Labor Day savings include up to 35 percent off on appliances and TVs. Save $1,250 on a Samsung black stainless steel appliance bundle.




Home Depot: Has  30 percent off appliances labeled "special buys." Kohl's:  You can get a Dyson Ball Multi Floor Upright bagless vacuum for $299. Plus deals on shoes, clothes and Fitbit. Lowe's: Grills, patio furniture and appliances are some of the big bargains. Macy's: There are numerous sales at Macy’s, plus  a coupon for an extra 20 percent off your purchase. There’s also free shipping for online sales of $50 or more. Old Navy:  Get 50 percent off all jeans, T-shirts and dresses through Monday. Overstock: The online retailer is offering 70 percent off on items such as bedding and furniture. Sears: Appliances are big for Sears and  they are only sale for 40 percent off. Target: All home items are 30 percent  off. Walmart: The retail giant is cutting prices on jewelry, mattresses, patio furniture, grills and lots of other items. Ashley Furniture HomeStore is offering up to 20 percent off storewide. The discount fashion retailer rue21 is cutting prices by up to 60 percent in stores and online. Overstock is hosting its self-described "biggest Labor Day sale ever," with prices on furniture, area rugs and bedding slashed by up to 70 percent.  is offering 30 to 50 percent off its entire site during its Labor Day sale.
