Now, we just get this Genie belt drive on our "new" old house. It's very simple to install. We are surprised on how quiet and smooth this garage door opener is. We also like how it stops at slower speed on the way up and down. We are happy with this purchase. I was pleasantly surprised by the pricing... and the features were all I could ask for. I installed it alone, in about 2 1/2 hours. Which included removing the old chain drive model, and photo-eyes, wall control, etc.
The two new remotes are pre-programmed which I found really convenient. It also has two light bulbs, which accept newer style lamps. Wiring is easy with push style connectors, instead of screw type. All the necessary materials were included NC reasonable tools and DIY capability were needed. The operator is incredibly quiet and raises and lowers with considerably more speed than my old one.
