Each Vincent Sheppard product is available with nylon or felt glides in order to protect the feet and all types of floor surfaces. Using the correct glides will prevent any damage due to contact between the feet and the ground. Replacement glides can easily be purchased at our Vincent Sheppard Services webshop. Should the paint of your furniture become damaged, then a small touch up of paint from the touch up bottle will restore the finish perfectly.
Touch up bottles can also easily be purchased at the Services webshop. The outdoor collection is made of aluminium frames with a special treated Loom. After the weaving process, the woven paper is dipped in a latex emulsion to form a flexible coating for moisture resistance. A special paint from the automotive sector makes the weave resistant to sun and rain. What’s more, the open weave prevents the chairs from retaining heat, even after long hours in the sun. Designs from our outdoor range have to be stored indoors during periods of particularly heavy rain or frost. The woven paper can be cleaned easily by wiping with a damp cloth. Please be aware that Lloyd Loom of Spalding Ltd went into liquidation in February 2016. This company was the “ORIGINAL” Lloyd Loom company, manufacturing furniture in the UK. There is now a NEW company called Lloyd Loom Originals Ltd CLAIMING to be the “original” Lloyd Loom company. They have a new website showing brands and products made by Lloyd Loom of Spalding Ltd and say in their “about us” section that they have supplied pieces to the BBC, Wimbledon and Betty’s Tea Shops. These were customers of Lloyd Loom of Spalding Ltd and NOT Lloyd Loom Originals Ltd. The Lloyd Loom Originals Ltd website also shows products from the German company called Accente – a company that is also in Receivership. Machinery and assets were removed from the original Lloyd Loom of Spalding company just before it went into liquidation.
These assets were moved to a factory in Romania, which is now the manufacturing site for Lloyd Loom Originals Ltd. Can I paint my vinyl furniture? We do not recommend painting Woven Vinyl furniture. You can wash the vinyl with mild detergent and warm water to remove soil. Please allow the furniture to dry thoroughly before use.Can I still get the group named Bay Breeze? Sometimes collections, like Bay Breeze, are discontinued. You can browse all of our current collections here. Lloyd Flanders cushions and pillows are made to stand up to the elements, so you don’t need to remove the covers for cleaning. Cushions upholstered in Sunbrella® or other solution dyed acrylic fabrics may be cleaned with one cup of chlorine bleach diluted in one gallon of water with a small amount of mild detergent. Do not use bleach on printed fabrics. Test the cleaning solution in a small inconspicuous area first. Saturate a cloth or soft brush with the solution.
Scrub the entire cushion and rinse well with clean water and let air dry. Printed fabrics may be scrubbed with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Test in a small inconspicuous area first. Lloyd Loom and Woven Vinyl furniture should be gently cleaned with a soft brush or sponge.
What is loom wicker actually made of?
