Litecoin is a popular cryptocurrency, one of the first Bitcoin forks. The platform was founded in 2011. The abbreviated name of the currency is LTC. In the cryptocommunity it’s usually called Lite.
The founders of LTC define it as the cryptocurrency silver. During the first years after its launch, Litecoin stably remained in top-3 by the market capitalization.
