Ever since I was a small boy, I always loved creating stuff, drawing, sculpting, even sewing (which is a bit strange for a boy, I admit, but I did it too). Creating something from nothing, always brought me joy. As a child, I always imagined what if the things I created will become big and materialize in real life, as I’m sure most of you did too. So when I came across these big Lego blocks from EverBlock™ systems, I was ecstatic. Finally, I could build something that could be real in life-sized scale. The hours of joy I spent as a child putting together brick to brick, just became a possible reality.Lego, being one of the most popular games around the world, usually comes with a built in theme in each pack, which is nice, but the real fun is unleashing your creativity, and trying to create different things from them bricks. Since the building blocks in the packs are modular, there really is no limit to what you can do with them. EverBlock™ Lego blocks, have just the same modular structure capability embedded in their design.

The blocks themselves come in several physical sizes, and in 4 kind of bricks, plus a few extra accessories that add additional usable features to the structures. Since color is also a great key for creativity, there is a choice of 12 colors to play with, closely resembles to the classic Lego game. The great variety of projects you can make from these blocks is amazing, from a simple shelf or table, up to a real life sized room that people can stay in. Just like real Lego, the bricks can be cleaned, and are waterproof, so the kids can play with them outside, and I don’t have to worry that they will be ruined, or get lost.Just when I thought that it couldn’t get any better, I started strolling around EverBlock™ site, and I came across their 3D building simulator. Having the possibility to play around with the blocks, and virtually building the models I want to create is great. This way I can plan whatever it is I want to build, look at it from all sides, choose the colors I want to use, and in the end, they even let me save the image and ask for a price quote, for the amount of the bricks I used.

Its like ordering my own LEGO set, and building a real life-sized model of it.I really love this thing. It made me dig deep into the closet, and pull out my daughter’s over-sized classic LEGO box. We are now in the process of creating something girly for her.Check out some example of what people did with these big LEGO blocks below.Move over tiny, tedious LEGO—the giant building blocks of your childhood dreams have finally arrived. Arnon Rosan founded EverBlock, a modular system of large-scale LEGO-like bricks with raised lugs that snap together into life-size furniture and structures. The huge blocks are used as both toys and tools, and can be easily stacked to make almost anything your imagination desires, from an adult fort to a modular indoor office space. The EverBlock is available in 14 colors and four interlocking parts: the quarter-size (3”L x 6”W x 6”H), half-size (6”L x 6”W x 6”H); full-size (12”L x 6”W x 6”H); and the finishing cap block (12”L x 6”W x 1.1”H).

The hollow blocks weigh between a half-pound to 2.2 pounds. Although the adult-sized blocks aren’t made from recycled plastic, they are made from polypropylene, which is a recyclable material. Just like LEGO, the modular system can be taken apart and re-assembled to build numerous objects, and are created with UV inhibitors to allow for outdoor use. The full-size bricks are also sturdy enough to build bigger structures, however, Everblock recommends staggering the blocks for better stability. Each 12-inch EverBlock has two built-in cable channels to let you thread power cables, add LED strips, or install reinforcement rods for additional support. The modules are water and chemical-resistant. The smallest quarter-size block starts at $3.95 and the EverBlock combo sale pack with 26 mixed blocks goes for $155.90.

EverBlock also offers rentals for those not quite ready to commit to a purchase. The website includes a virtual builder tool to help people decide on how many bricks they’ll need for a design as well as a how-to-build library with example designs.Remember when you were a kid playing with LEGOs, and you so earnestly wished that your creation could transform into a life-size version? Well, that’s pretty much what BMW Motorrad has done with this new flying motorcycle concept. The Hover Ride began as a collaboration between LEGO and BMW Motorrad, the German automaker’s motorcycle division, for a 603-piece BMW R 1200 GS Adventure kit. For background, some LEGO kits are referred to as “2 in 1,” meaning one collection of LEGO pieces can then be made into two finished products. Here, however, that second product is a futuristic flying motorcycle. After creating the LEGO variation of the Hover Ride concept, BMW Motorrad decided to take things a step further by building an actual life-size flying motorcycle.

While the ride isn’t functional just yet, the display alone is worth a look. If you’re interested in the LEGO kit, though, you can purchase that today for $59.99 USD.
