Sure, they’ll go back and try to rebuild them later, but invariably the pieces all end up in one big bin. This why we love LEGOs, right? They are meant to be remixed into something totally unique. I just wish there was a better way to get random bulk bricks, instead of the expensive licensed sets they seem to be pushing on us all the time. But I’ll save that rant for another day. If you’ve got the big bucket of bricks, but want some fresh ideas of what to do with your pieces, check these festive build guides for all you need to make it a LEGO Christmas! You will definitely need the help of tiny fingers to put together this intricate house. Just remember… no snacking on this one as you build! You can get the brick building guide from Chris McVeigh.

After the gingerbread house, start to build a gingerbread lane with a visit to the gingerbread shop. Got enough LEGOs lying around the Christmas tree to decorate the Christmas tree? You can get this design — and more — from Chris McVeigh. This turkey always turns out perfectly. And what’s better than LEGOs under the tree? A LEGO Christmas tree! The life-size LEGO Star Wars X-wing starfighter has been assembled by the theme park’s Master Model Builders inside a hangar, and will be on display for LEGOLAND guests to enjoy through the remainder of the year.

The amazing LEGO Star Wars X-wing Starfighter weighs more than 45,000 pounds and is created from five million LEGO bricks! It measures 11 feet tall, stretches 43 feet long and has a wingspan of 44 feet. The X-wing comes just in time for the Park’s annual LEGO Star Wars Days. The model is 42 times the size of the retail building setThough we knew that there were plans to build a full-size house from LEGOs, the photographic evidence is beginning to show up! James May, the UK television host of Toy Stories is working with over 2 million bricks and 1,200 volunteers to build a life-size LEGO house in Surrey, England. Scheduled to be completed today, these pics are from the past few weeks. Lifesize Lego AWP is impressive, still OP Every highly-specific hobby you can imagine has a dedicated home on YouTube. 46-minute marathon Kinder Egg openings. Children in suits evaluating junk food. YouTuber ZaziNombies makes Lego game guns, and he's pieced together everything from the Scout's Force-A-Nature to a whole series of zappers from Destiny.Joining that armory this week is Counter-Strike's iconic long gun: the AWP. ZaziNombies used about 1100 Lego pieces to put together a four-foot-long facsimile, including a convincing reconstruction of the AWP's optics that's mostly tires. You can tell he's done this before. The color is more mint than the AWP's classic olive drab, the plastic rounds seem smaller than the .338 Lapua that AWPs allegedly shoot, and the trivia ZaziNombies rattles off is clearly from a Wiki, but otherwise the resemblance is striking. Now I know what you’re thinking: “When I grow up, I want to build life-size LEGO statues of pop culture icons, specifically Star Wars characters!”

Well you’re gonna have to wait a little while pal, because that job’s been filled by…some person somewhere. When Lego built life-size models of Kylo Ren, Rey, and BB-8 for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere, people were blown away in a way that only block statues could do. Now 675 real human hours later, Entertainment Weekly has released some excellent photos that show Captain Phasma, Finn, and Poe have now been block-ified and are on display at New York Toy Fair 2016. Inside the Magic was also at Toy Fair for a day this year and captured some video footage of these three – plus the addition of Kylo Ren! Poe (Oscar Isaac) stands 67.3 inches tall, weighs 112 pounds, and took 22,736 bricks to make. Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) is the taller of the new set at 81.5 inches, 185 pounds, and 37,556 bricks. And lastly, Finn (John Boyega) stands at 68.9 inches, 112 pounds, and 23,072 bricks. We imagine his derpy cross-eyes took at least twelve tries to get right.
