Um dia feliz passado em família . patriciarowe44 August 2016 This began as a disaster when nobody came to pick us up despite all confirmations stating pick up from our hotel.

After phoning Golden Tours we were told Viator had not updated them so we had to get a cab at a cost of ten pound. Not a good start to the day. All my paperwork stated pick up from our hotel Gerard S July 2013 No Complaints... Matthew T July 2016 Review is on the trip itself, not actual legoland (as that would reduce rating). Told it was with golden tour coach bus which is not true-you will be going on a Green line city bus. Entire process was disorganized. Also expect a long bus ride-1 hr 45 min Fatima A September 2013 The tour was just a drop off at lego land and then you are on your own A U P September 2013 This is for littlies only. It was sooo busy, that we left early, as waiting in queues for 30 minutes for a 3 minute ride was just not worth it in the end. However, the concept is stunning and well worth seeing if not so busy. catherine m July 2013 Was disappointed that coach was public green line bus Janet S August 2016 The bus journey was a bit of a nightmare took much longer than stated, thought we would have gone directly by coach melinaj.catalano3011 November 2014 Definitely one for the kids

Research by The Daily Telegraph shows that nearly all the most popular British attractions cost more than equivalent sites abroad. Legoland Windsor, for example, charges considerably more than the Legoland theme parks in Germany and Denmark. Madame Tussauds in London charges more than its American or European sites. It is not just the theme parks that come out badly. A family entry to London Zoo costs £51.50, nearly three times the price to visit Berlin Zoo. The London Eye is three times the price of the Riesenrad ferris wheel in Vienna, and 50 per cent more expensive than a trip to the top of the Empire State Building, New York's most popular attraction.

Only British museums, which often do not charge entry, do well in comparison. The disparity in prices comes as Holiday Which?, the consumer magazine, criticises the majority of British theme parks for charging families too much and subjecting them to overly long queues. "We feel the prices are particularly unfair, since apart from Legoland, children over the age of 12 have to pay full adult prices," the magazine said, pointing out that a family with two teenagers could pay £130 to enter Alton Towers or Thorpe Park. The poor value for money is expected to be highlighted in the latest Lonely Planet guidebook for Britain, due to be published next month. David Else, the lead author, said yesterday: "We, the British public who pay for these attractions sometimes have only ourselves to blame. They charge these prices because that's what they can get away with." Legoland Windsor charges an adult £31 compared with £20.15 in Germany and £21 at the original park in Denmark. A visit to Madame Tussauds in London will set you back £25;

bring along a child and you pay a further £21. In America - partly because of the weak dollar - the prices are nearly half that at £14.50 for adults and £11.50 for children. The prices are even lower in Amsterdam. Tom Wright, head of the Visit Britain tourist board, said the industry "has a lot of work to do on the value-for-money proposition". However, he said buoyant visitor numbers suggested overseas tourists were not being put off. Mr Else called on families and visitors to discover attractions off the beaten track, which he said offered better value than some "over-hyped" sites. He also pointed out many museums are free and cater for young children. However, Elena Dalrymple, the editor of Mother & Baby magazine, who has run a campaign against high charges for children, said free sites were often overcrowded. "The Science Museum is absolutely wonderful for children but it is rammed at weekends," she said. Glenn Earlham, the managing director at Madame Tussauds, said the comparison between London and its overseas venues was unfair as London had double the amount of waxworks.
