After reading reviews about Lego discovery museum I was very apprehensive. My son has autsium and behavioural issues. I contacted Lego discovery museum before our visit. The staff where very helpful when we arrived. Yes there is very big long queues, and I understand that would be very off putting. Well worth a visit both my children aged 13 and... The content in the centre is great. The problem is the organisation. The planners have decided to make a local space to soak up some of the appeal of Lego across the country, to save people the trip to Legoland. The problem is, the appeal of Lego is national, and they don't have the capacity for the amount of people... Had a great day here this month, my wife and I took our 5 month old son for a trip. Lots of lights and movement to keep him occupied and very friendly staff who talked to him loads. Got loads of great pics and although he was to small for the rides he did enjoy playing with Duplo and he... Can't knock them for trying but not worth the discounted price to be honest let alone full price.
The place was very disorganised and trashed in most areas by 4pm. The laser guns didn't work on the ride and in the 4d show it took 2 attempts to get it working and then the usherette had her walkie talkie going...We travelled 2 hours to the lego centre. It was disorganised chaos right from outside queuing. Granted it was half term but some how why can't we get it right in England where crowds are concerned. The place is lacking in everything it should be for design and technology of this decade. It looks tired by today's... We purchased a joint ticket in advance with Sea-life center that made it better value...but the activities the kids really enjoyed. We where particularly impressed with the 4D screening. Part of the attraction was being refurbished so we have a free pass to return, so happy with our day out and to visit again in future is a bonus. I won free tickets in the school fair. We had a fun day but I'd have been pretty disappointed if I'd paid full price. It is massively over priced for what it is.
