Much better than the original Lego X-Wing Ultimate Collector Series, the previous best. The X-Wing UCS was 1,304 pieces. The Red Five X-Wing Starfighter is 1,558 pieces measuring a whooping 20 inches (52cm) long, 18 inches (46cm) wide and 10 inches (26cm) high (the previous one was 13 x 8 inches). The price is not bad at all: only $200 USD ($250 in Canada and 200€ in Europe). Considering that the original X-Wing UCS is getting a $1,300 price tag on eBay now, it's peanuts! It will be available for sale directly through Lego this May. Original Lego X-Wing Ultimate Collectors Series (left) compared to the new one (right)7191 X-Wing Fighter is an Ultimate Collector's Series set released in August 2000. It was one of the first two UCS sets, along with 7181 TIE Interceptor. This set included a standard size R2-D2 minifigure despite the set's status as a UCS set. This astromech size ratio was echoed in a subsequent set. The S-Foil wings can be adjusted so that they rest in either attack or flight position.

Do not modify it. If you think blasting the Death Star is tough, try building the ultimate X-Wing fighter. With more than 1300 pieces, it is one of the most realistic models in the galaxy. From its engine exhaust ports to the tips of its laser cannons, no detail has been overlooked. Built to perfect scale, the X-Wing has an impressive 20-inch wingspan. LEGO Star Wars 75102 Poe's X-Wing Fighter See all 6 customer reviews MR S M SKINGLE Recently we decided to get some LEGO for my four-year-old daughter (don't worry, we didn't get her this!) As she's still a bit young for it really, I've been helping her build the sets. Of course, this re-ignited a long dormant spark and after everything we had was built and my daughter was happy...I ended up getting myself this as well as the 75095 TIE Fighter. I built the TIE Fighter first (see my review over there for more details) and then turned my attention to this. I spent about 3.5 hours one evening on it (before going, bleary-eyed, to bed) and about another hour the next day and then it was finished. The design is so clever and intricate. I still don't quite understand how the wings open and close and I built the thing! There's are several very involved stages constructing the body of the ship before you get to the cockpit and wings so you need to make sure you're concentrating.

I love the way the engines come together, although you have to be careful not to knock them or you'll have to re-adjust the bits around the outside to get them looking right again. My only gripe (and it's not quite enough to knock a star off the review) is that it doesn't come with a Luke Skywalker minifig. How much extra would that have cost them really? It's such an expensive set (and rightly so) but I think leaving him out is pretty stingy. I've looked on eBay (as he doesn't seem to be too easy to get hold of) and you're looking at about £10 which is crazy.Still, that aside it's a wonderful model. If you're a fan of Star Wars and LEGO, I don't see how you could resist! See all 6 customer reviews (newest first) Perfect product and service, thank you.
