LEGO, however, is now looking to challenge Minecraft early next year in the video game industry, with the announcement of a release date for LEGO Worlds. The LEGO Group, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer TT Games announced that LEGO Worlds will be released on Feb. 21, 2017. The game was launched in June 2015 into the Early Access program on the PC gaming service Steam, allowing players to try out LEGO Worlds even while it was still in development and provide feedback to TT Games. After a little less than two years in that state, LEGO Worlds will finally see the light of day as a finished game.
In addition to the release date, the big news is that LEGO Worlds will not only launch on the PC, as it was also announced that the game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. "LEGO Worlds expands our LEGO video game franchise with a new experience that embodies all the fun of physical LEGO brick building," said Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad, adding that TT Games has been able to create a game that combines the unlimited creativity associated with the building blocks and the humor that has been a characteristic of previous LEGO games and movies. LEGO Worlds and Minecraft allow players to build whatever they can think of using virtual blocks, ranging from small tools to massive structures. In Minecraft, gamers encounter creatures such as zombies while playing, and similarly in LEGO Worlds, players will also come across monsters such as dragons and yetis. There are certain significant differences between the two games though.
For example, in Minecraft, players lay blocks down one piece at a time to create items and structures. Meanwhile, in LEGO Worlds, players will be given several tools that will allow them to build things faster and easier. How well LEGO Worlds will fare against Minecraft remains to be seen, however. While LEGO video games have collectively sold more than 140 million copies in the past decade compared to the more than 70 million copies sold by Minecraft since 2009, this is the first time that a LEGO game would treat the virtual bricks like their real-life versions. Will the massively popular brand of LEGO be enough for LEGO Worlds to overtake Minecraft? Or does Minecraft already have an unrelenting grip on the virtual block building scene? Hang from the two wall handholds to lower them. Use Cyborg to pull a magnetic crate north under the metal floor. Search beneath the floor (free play H - Fly north and left from the starting point to find a passage with a spiked pit.
Deconstruct the black statue and build a switch. Pull the switch, then shatter the glass with Man-Bat or Black Canary (free play) I - Fly to the northmost passage, then change to Harley Quinn and flip along the poles. Push the spinnerto lower the gate, then use Aquaman or Killer Croc to search the nook beneath the spinner (free play) J - Use the POwer Suit to pull the glowing orange handle near the center of the maze (story) K - Citizen in peril: On the right side of the maze, being beaten by goons - fly there (free play)LEGO Jurassic World is a video game in which the player can play through the stories of the first four Jurassic Park movies. It is developed by Traveller's Tales and was released on June 12th, 2015. Like most LEGO games made by Traveller's Tales players are able to collect studs, with silver being the lowest denomination at 10, then gold ones at 100, blue ones with 1,000 and finally purple being the highest and rarest stud with 10,000 value. Both humans and dinosaurs are playable with each having their own unique abilities, such as Ellie Sattler being able to grow trees, as well as dig through dinosaur dung.
[3] Outside of being a playable character, Mr. DNA provides players with useful information and educational facts. As stated above, players are able to play through the four Jurassic Park films, with each film divided into five levels. Outside of the story mode, Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna serve as game hubs.[4] Players will be able to play as dinosaurs by finding amber bricks in every level of the story mode. These Paleo-DNA strains can also be mixed and matched to create genetic hybrids with different skin colors and variations. Another collectable encountered in each level are "Minikits" with ten in each level. When all minikits in a level are collected, they unlock a dinosaur skeleton. Common to all LEGO games, red bricks can be found as well. -Welcome to Jurassic World (includes Raptor training and Indominus Rex escape) The story follows the events of the four Jurassic Park films, but in a more lighthearted manner. No characters are killed, with death scenes being altered to show them merely injured or miraculously escaping death. The game was also developed with many comedic and humorous overtones like other film-themed Lego titles. After completing the stories of all 4 films, a cutscene will play showing Ellie and Alan uncovering a purple keystone, hinting towards the next LEGO game (which features Jurassic World content), LEGO Dimensions. There are over 100 playable characters ingame. There is a total of 20 playable dinosaurs. In between levels, Mr. DNA will give facts about Dinosaurs, during which he mentions or talks about many of the dinosaurs in Jurassic World, but also Seismosaurus, Megalosaurus, Microraptor, and Suchomimus. Also, during the level "Main Street Showdown", a statue of a dinosaur is seen, which was used as Coelophysis in another LEGO Dino line.
