The highlight of the month of December is always Christmas...and those much-anticipated year-end sales! But what you see isn’t always what you get. We’re tired of big deceitful signboards and web banners boasting sales of up to 80% off, only for you to find out that there’s a minimum purchase of $100 involved. Mark your calendars, ladies: Online beauty retailer Beureka’s Year-End Beauty Sale is the real deal. Full of amazing discounts - such as 70% off an 80ml Lanvin Me L’Eau EDT ($39.90, U.P. $132) - the beauty galore from 1st to 4th December is one you shouldn’t miss. Held at Beureka‘s warehouse, the 4-day event will allow you to see the spread of beauty goodies available in person and handpick them. There’ll be more than a whopping 80 international brands to choose from, ranging from Asian to European ones. “Spoiled for choice” would be an understatement. Beureka knows how fixated Singaporean girls are with all things Korean. To help you inch one step closer to looking like Taeyeon, there are tons of K-beauty products on sale - such as the popular Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($17.90, U.P. $27) and BB Cushion with refill ($39.90, U.P. $68).

Source: @kbeautyclinic April Skin’s Magic All-Kill Cleansing Oil ($9.90, U.P. $29) and Magic Stone ($9.90, U.P. $21). Other Asian brands you can expect are April Skin, which uses natural ingredients like minerals and plant nutrients in its products, as well as all-time Japanese favourite, SK-II. Everyone knows of SK-II as a pricey skin indulgence, but at Beureka’s warehouse sale, you’ll be able to snag their various Miracle Essence products for just $62.30 (U.P. $93 - $99)! With Christmas just around the corner, stock up on European perfumes to gift your loved ones without bearing the cost of an arm and a leg. At just $36.90 (U.P. $138), the fruity-floral Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Charms EDT (100ml) is a steal, and its colourful bottle happens to be perfect for the festive season! You’re probably questioning the trustability of these products - if they’re that cheap, are they even authentic? Will my skin start to rot after a few months of usage? Fret not because unlike the numerous online vendors touting Kylie Jenner Lip Kit dupes at a fraction of their original prices, Beureka only works with credible suppliers, going through stringent checks to ensure everything is 100% legit.

When it comes to sales, I operate on a “go big or go home” policy - I’m always after big savings to stretch my dollar on a bigger haul. Which means more cosmetics to pamper myself with - even though I only have one face. Authenticity can be an issue with retailers selling products at cheap prices, but not with Beureka - they work directly with distributors to obtain beauty products at low prices, and pass on the savings to their customers. Head down to Beureka’s warehouse this 1st - 4th December and be prepared to spend at least an hour browsing for what could be your biggest beauty haul yet! With face creams, cosmetics, and fragrances so affordable, going trigger-happy filling your basket to the brim will be totally justifiable this time. Beureka’s Beauty Warehouse SaleVenue: 114 Lavender Street, CT Hub 2 Lobby 1, #05-72, Singapore 338729Date: 1st - 4th December 2016Time: 11am - 9pm A local online beauty retailer, Beureka was founded by 3 guys who were intrigued by how some of their female friends skip meals just to save up for beauty products.

After some research, they realised how much these products are marked up by retailers, and thus decided to make them more accessible by offering cheaper prices - at the expense of cutting their own profit margins. With a selection of popular Asian and Western brands, Beureka only works with authorised dealers with proper licenses/certificates, and performs quality checks at every stage of their supply chain. Instead of waiting weeks for your goods to arrive, Beureka will have you receiving your loot in just 2-3 working days thanks to their super quick shipping. To help you along with the anticipation of waiting, you’ll get to track your order on their web system - no more worrying about missing orders. If you’re in need of a little pampering this festive season, Beureka is giving away 5 limited edition holiday beauty gift sets worth $450 each! All you have to do to win is:1. According to images shared on social, the Ministry of Education will be giving out Lego sets to students to commemorate SG50. It is not clear if all students will be receiving the sets, but images online from parents indicate that some have already received them. The box art on the play set, named "Building My SG - Reflect, Celebrate, Inspire", suggests that players can construct some local landmarks, such as the Changi Airport control tower, the Super Trees at Gardens by the Bay, and a bridge that seems to resemble Cavenagh Bridge. The box has the MOE logo, with the text "A gift from Singapore to our youth". It is not clear if production of the sets is paid for by MOE or Lego, or if it will be available in stores in the future. Comments online have been generally positive, with some saying that such toys are better than creating apps and video games for children, and also how it aptly reflects the progress that Singapore has made through the years.
