Wall-e Lego Creation side view. Wall-e is a caring, sharing, and helpful robot.  I like him because he is a hard worker.  He cleaned up the earth one block at a time.  He helped Eve when she shut down.  He ran over his pet cockroach Hal and he still cared for him.  Hal came back to life.   Wall-e fed his cockroach Hal B&L candy bars.  Wall-e was thankful for the little things in life.  I think Wall-e was a good robot even though his is fiction.  Wall-e is one of my favorite movies. If you are not familiar with Wall-e watch the trailer below. Today we continued our My Father's World study of Canada. I created a igloo out of Legos for my study of the Canadian Inuit. Today, I did a Inuit carving using a bar of soap.  It was really fun! First my Mom gave me a bar of Dial soap (since it was yellow it made the perfect Lego head) Then I traced a Lego face onto the soap using a print out of a Lego head. You can use a pencil,  just tape the print out to the soap and trace on top of it.  My Mom had some fancy tool.  I tried that out, but a pencil works fine. It takes a while but, it is really fun to carve in soap. Here are the pictures of my creation. My Lego head soap tracing. Me in action carving my Lego head soap. My completed Lego head soap carving. If you do the soap carving, leave me a comment on my site.  This creation is for my Dad.  It's his birthday today!  He loves the Rays.
