Trying to garner support on the LEGO Ideas website is a Volkswagen Golf MK1 GTI creation, consisting of 1,278 pieces. It’s roughly comparable in size to the existing 1,167-piece Volkswagen Beetle model. Like other LEGO Ideas, the Volkswagen Golf MK1 GTI needs 10,000 supporters before it can move onto the next stage and at the time of this article, it has 1,426 supporters with 588 days left. SEE ALSO: 1964.5 Ford Mustang Gets a Life-Size LEGO Replica There are plenty of little details to make this creation as authentic as possible, including custom stickers that recreate the GTI’s steering wheel and center stack. There are even striped seats, although we would prefer to see the classic Volkswagen plaid pattern.

Car Photos & Videos Remember playing with Hot Wheels, LEGO or Barbie cars as a kid? We do, and have to admit we kind of miss them. The people behind these cars must’ve felt the same way—they built real-life versions of the things!Disney has been very active on streaming services over the last year or so, with many of its movies available to view as part of a Netflix or Amazon Prime Instant Video subscription. Its TV channels are also incredible popular in the UK, with series favourites including Sofia the First, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Doc Mc Stuffins - all of which also topping the toy charts each Christmas with official merchandise. It seems good timing therefore for the studio and entertainment brand to launch its own streaming services - one that offers all of the Disney content a child (or adult) could ever want. And what's more, it's not just a rival to the streaming platforms mentioned above, it's much more than that. So, having played with DisneyLife for a while, we're able to give you a run down of what to expect with the newly-launched service.

DisneyLife is Disney's own subscription service where you can not only watch the studio's movies and TV shows, but also gain access to an extensive library of eBooks, audio books and music. All content is available both to watch, read or listen to online, and also download for offline use. That makes it ideal for travelling, giving countless hours of Disney entertainment for young ones to enjoy on a plane, train or any other kind of vehicle. It also gives them something to watch while on holiday during a lull moment. On launch, there are DisneyLife apps available for iOS and Android devices. The service can also be accessed through a computer using a web browser, by visiting disneylife.co.uk.The mobile applications are also AirPlay and Chromecast-enabled, so you can send or cast content to a respective device for playing on a television, be that through Apple TV or a Google Chromecast stick. Some Android TV devices, such as the Nvidia Shield TV, also support Chromecast feeds.Pocket-lint has been told that Disney plans to release apps for the service on other major platforms and even smart TVs in time.

A monthly subscription to DisneyLife will cost £9.99 but the first month is free as part of a trial. There is no contracted period you are locked to, so you can cancel your subscription at any time, just paying for the month still outstanding. This means you can cancel the subscription before the end of the trial period and not have to pay a penny for that month.Up to 10 different devices can be registered on one DisneyLife account and six separate profiles can be created for different members of the family. And as the service has pick-up where you last left off functionality, each child can carry on their own shows and films without fear that another family member might lose their place. There are simple to follow but effective parental controls, which include setting a content filter to limit access to films, shows, books and music through certification (U, PG and 12 - this is Disney after all).Parents can also set time limits on how long a child is able to access the app. And each profile's parental controls can be set independently.

As well as TV series box-sets for shows that usually appear on the Disney Channel or Disney Jnr, the entire library of Disney classic animated films are available, as are all of Pixar's movies. There are also films from the Disney archives, including those starring Herbie, the VW Beetle. And even the Pirates of the Caribbean movies are available. There are over 100 books available from launch, with a mixture of digital kids books and audio books. There is a variety of different titles, starring Disney characters, that even include staged-reading for kids of all ages.Entire music albums can be downloaded or streamed through the app - and yep, that includes the Frozen soundtrack. There will also be one free app a month to download onto mobile devices, which would normally cost a one-off fee on an app store.Basically, for Disney fans there is a hell of a lot of content.Sadly, there are currently no plans to launch DisneyLife outside of Europe. If that changes, we'll let you know.Library VoteLibrary PinLibrary AddsThe Library1921 LibraryLibrary CompleteLibrary DisplayLibraries LegoVotes LegoForwardModular Library vote to have Lego make set.
