Harvey Dent was Gotham City’s most honest district attorney until a tragic accident melted half of his plastic minifigure face. His mind cracked and he became the criminal Two-Face, who bases all of his decisions on the flip of a coin. Torn between doing good and bad, Two-Face is obsessed with the number two and always includes pairs of things in his crimes. Bat-Fact: Once robbed Gotham City’s Second National Bank twice on a Tuesday. Arkham Asylum Poison Ivy‘LEGO Batman Movie’ Finally Allows Billy Dee Williams to Play Two-FacePosted on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 by Ethan AndertonIf it’s been a while since you’ve seen Tim Burton’s Batman from 1989, you might not remember that Billy Dee Williams played District Attorney Harvey Dent. In fact, the original plan for Batman Forever before Joel Schumacher took over for Tim Burton was to have the Star Wars star reprise his role and become the Gotham City villain Two-Face. Sadly, we never got to see that happen.

But that’s about to change. The LEGO Batman Movie is bringing the building block version of the Dark Knight back to the big screen, and after seeing the trailers, it’s one of our most anticipated movies of 2017. Now we have even more reason to be excited because Billy Dee Williams will be voicing Two-Face in the animated movie. The news of Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face in The LEGO Batman Movie was confirmed by director Chris McKay on Twitter when a fan tossed out the hope as a pipe dream:@buddboetticher Please tell me Billy Dee Williams voices Two Face?— Brent Waller (@BrentOnInternet) November 30, 2016He does https://t.co/sf1x4NtRzS— Chris McKay (@buddboetticher) November 30, 2016That’s pretty much the coolest casting we could have asked for. Since it has the tongue-in-cheek tone of The LEGO Movie, there are bound to be many jokes, Easter eggs and other nods to the Dark Knight’s long legacy in comics, TV and film, and I can’t wait to see what else they do for this movie. You can actually get a little glimpse of Two-Face on the far right in this shot (between Scarecrow and Harley Quinn) of all the villains from the most recent trailer for the movie:Funnily enough, there was a comic book in the works at one time that would have continued the story of Tim Burton’s Batman, including turning Billy Dee Williams’ Harvey Dent into Two-Face.

Some concept art from the book surfaced online back in April over at Bleeding Cool, and it included an image of Williams as Two-Face, who just looks bad ass:It really shouldn’t be a surprise that Billy Dee Williams is reprising his role as Harvey Dent since The LEGO Movie was able to round him up to voice Lando Calrissian. Maybe they can figure out a way to get Billy Dee Williams in all the LEGO movies, just for fun.The rest of The LEGO Batman Movie cast includes Will Arnett back as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon (aka Batgirl), Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn, Mariah Carey as Mayor McCaskill and more. The LEGO Batman Movie arrives on February 10, 2017. Cool Posts From Around the Web: ZergNet Back in 1989, Billy Dee Williams took a small role as D.A. Harvey Dent in Tim Burton‘s Batman movie with the hope that he’d go on to play Two-Face in a later sequel. But by the time Dent’s evil alter-ego appeared on screen, he was portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever.

But now, after 27 years, the man whose real name is William December Williams (HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!) is finally going to get his shot at Two-Face in the most unexpected way possible: in The LEGO Batman Movie! The news was broken by none other than Chris McKay, the director of The LEGO Batman Movie. In a response to a fan on twitter, McKay unexpectedly revealed that Williams is playing Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the film. Over the years, Williams has mentioned how much he wanted to play Two-Face, before director Joel Schumacher went in a different direction and recast Jones in the part. It’s an amazing gesture on McKay’s part, and we’re extremely eager to see what Williams does with the role, and if Two-Face will be based on his likeness. While we have little doubt that Williams would have killed it with a darker portrayal of Two-Face under Burton’s direction, we expect that his comedic skills will be called upon in this big screen outing. We shouldn’t be too surprised that McKay is casting a wide net for his film.

The previously announced LEGO Batman Movie figures and playsets have revealed that several minor villains from Batman’s history are also making a big comeback in this project. This latest announcement just makes us more excited about LEGO Batman’s new adventure! Are you hyped to see Williams get his opportunity to play Two-Face? Flip a coin, and share your thoughts below! Image: Warner Bros. Pictures Now, some news about that OTHER Batman movie.Oh hell yes, Lego Batman Movie. Ever since Two-Face started showing up in the Lego Batman Movie sets (and in the backgrounds of the trailers), eagle-eyed fans have noted that the minifigure bears some very distinct similarities to Billy Dee Williams’ portrayal of Harvey Dent in the 1989 Batman movie, before he was replaced by Tommy Lee Jones for future Bat-movies. But now we know for sure that it’s a bit more than an homage to the Two-Face that might have been: Williams is actually voicing the character in the movie. The news was confirmed today by director Chris McKay on Twitter, after someone finally asked him about the character:At long last, Billy Dee can become the Two-Face he always should have been.

Not for children under 3 years of age.The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt," meaning "play well." The LEGO Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen. The company has passed from father to son and is now owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder. If you think Lego is done with its Lego Batman Movie set once the movie hits, and then leaves, theaters, think again. The company will launch a new wave of Lego Batman sets based on the movie in June, with the line due to be unveiled in New York's Toy Fair in February. The brick batches each revolve around a villain — Scarecrow, Bane, Two-Face, Harley Quinn — and feature a vehicle as the main play build.

Heat Vision has the first look on the set (above and below): Scarecrow Fearful Face-off has Batman take on the Scarecrow and his Gyro-Copter, the latter featuring top and rear spinning rotors, an adjustable rudder, two bomb-drop functions and three translucent-green fear gas bomb elements. The Gyro-Copter measures over 3" (9 cm) high, 5" (13 cm) long and 1” (5 cm) wide; $14.99 is the price. Bane Toxic Truck Attack features Bane’s 6-by-6 Toxic Truck with a minifigure cockpit, space for a big Bane figure, six big wheels with rear-four-wheel suspension, mounted adjustable six-stud rapid shooter with target-sighting element, and a detachable translucent-green toxic tank element. It also comes with Batman’s Whirly-Bat, which has a minifigure seat, rotating rotor, two adjustable Batwings and two wheels. The Toxic Truck measures over 4" (11 cm) high, 6" (17 cm) long and 3" (9 cm) wide. The set, which some with Batman and Mutant Leader minifigs along with Bane, will sell for $49.99

Two-Face Double Demolition will have you doing a double take with an excavator that has a "good-and-bad-side" design, minifigure cabin, removable roof and opening weapon storage compartment with a pistol, four huge wheels (two with spikes on the "bad" side), operational excavator arm and bucket, articulated design for smooth steering, six-stud rapid shooter, rotor blade and rear storage compartment. But that’s not all: The set also comes with a Batcycle that has two big wheels, an opening minifigure cockpit with translucent-yellow windshield and Batwing doors, rotating double stud shooter and rotating flick missile shooter. The numbers: the excavator is over 4" (12 cm) high, 11" (29 cm) long and 5" (15 cm) wide and the Batcycle measures over 1" (5 cm) high, 5" (14 cm) long and 2" (7 cm) wide. The set comes with Batman, Two-Face and two GCPD officers minifigures, and will sell for $59.99. While there have been plenty of Lego Batmobiles over the years, The Batwing has had fewer chances to fly with the devil in the pale moonlight.

But this one is no joke. It features an opening dual minifigure cockpit with translucent-yellow windshield, rotating boosters, adjustable wings for flight and landing modes, two spring-loaded shooters, two disc shooters, opening rear compartment with a small car (with a minifigure seat) inside, and translucent light-style elements. Harley Quinn is the villain in this set and her weapon of choice is a cannon with a six-stud rapid shooter and two wheels. The Batwing measures over 5" (15 cm) high, 12" (31 cm) long and 18" (48 cm) wide in flight mode, and over 3" (9 cm) high, 12" (31 cm) long and 20" (53 cm) wide in landing mode. The set, which of course comes with Batman and Robin minifigures, retails for $89.99. Lego is also introducing a Batwave of BrickHeadz, the company’s stylized take on heroes that involves an oversize head and big eyes. (It first teased the line at 2016's Comic-Con.) The sets include Batman, Batgirl, Robin and the Joker and will sell for $9.99.
