Skip to main content Reclaim Erebor in LEGO The Hobbit Videogame Choose to Go with CNN Scooby-Doo Joins Forces with Schools Nationwide to Help Homeless PetsWarner Bros. has now officially announced Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens with a snazzy new trailer.3DS, PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions are in the works to launch in June. Watch the new footage below: ORIGINAL STORY 9.20am: Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a thing and it will be out on 28th June. The news comes not from Lego developer TT Games or publisher Warner Bros. Interactive. Instead, the naughty official Xbox site has the game listed and detailed, presumably a little earlier than it is supposed to.Here's one interesting thing: the game's description mentions "exclusive playable content that bridges the story gap between Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens".This could be taken from the various Journey to The Force Awakens books which are releasing now and reveal canon details about characters from in-between the two eras of films.

Or it could be something Lego has cooked up especially. One of the screenshots shows Han, Chewie and... is that Leia in a scene I don't recognise from TFA? Although this may just be my own memory being hazy (I've only seen it once, and even then at a midnight showing with Chris Bratt, so obviously I was a little distracted). Also new are the addition of Multi-Builds and Blaster Battles - the former allows you to build new paths with bricks then deconstruct and rebuild with them to open new areas. Blaster Battles, meanwhile, adds cover-based shooting moments to Lego's regular gameplay repartee. It's great to see Lego revisiting its roots with a new Star Wars tale - and with its rather British brand of humour too. There's a few examples of it in the trailer below:LEGO City Undercover is getting a port to modern platforms, and Warner Bros. have released the first trailer and details about the game. LEGO City Undercover is leaving the Wii U behind in favor of newer platforms. The port will launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and comes with all the same great content that made the original such a hit back in 2013.

You play as Chase McCain, a police officer working in the sprawling metropolis of LEGO City. When notorious criminal Rex Fury breaks loose, Chase must go undercover to sniff out this devious villain and put an end to his devious plots. Players will get to explore the vast open-world of LEGO City. With twenty districts to explore, lots of thieves to beat, vehicles to drive, and plenty of Easter Eggs to discover, LEGO City Undercover won’t leave players wanting for content. LEGO City Undercover is out sometime this spring on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.Happy Friday the 13th everybody! I know, you’ve probably been ogling the new Dead Rising: Watchtower character poster we revealed earlier today, but that’s not all that happened in the gaming world today. So, before you head off into the evening to marathon the Friday the 13th films, we’re here to keep you up to date. In today’s Gaming Daily, Jason Voorhees has been added to the Mortal Kombat X roster, Sony released a new trailer for Bloodborne, and Lego The Hobbit will not be receiving The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies related DLC.

Jason Voorhees is coming to Mortal Kombat With today being Friday the 13th, this announcement couldn’t be more appropriate. Jason Voorhees, the hockey mask wearing machete wielding murderer from the classic Friday the 13th films is coming to Mortal Kombat X as a playable character! He’ll be one of four playable characters included in the Kombat Pack DLC pass, which will retail at $30 on its own. Jason isn’t the first film character to slash his way into the Mortal Kombat series. His good old friend Freddy Krueger–who was the first-ever guest character from a film franchise to fight in a Kombat game–made his debut in 2011’s Mortal Kombat 9. While Freddy hasn’t been confirmed yet, it wouldn’t be surprising for him to make a komeback as he was one of the most downloaded DLC characters in MK9. Kratos, the God of War himself, was another guest in the last entry we’ve yet to hear anything about. It will be interesting to see if he and Kruger return, or if NetherRealm has a couple of other surprises up their sleeves before the game’s April 14, 2015 release.

Unfortunately for those who were planning to play on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, the game has been delayed until summer of this year. Sony released a creepy new Bloodborne trailer. With the release of its exclusive just around the corner, Sony has posted a brand new trailer for Bloodborne titled “Undone by the Blood” and it’s especially chilling. The three minute video features monstrous pigs, giant screaming bosses, gothic environments and of course, a disturbing baby cry at the end of the video. The video also provides the tiniest of glimpses at the player-vs-player mode FromSoftware elaborated on last week. According to the developer, up to three players will be able to engage in an online cooperative game to tackle bosses. Players will be able to search for friends, or open up their world to random players around the world–which is how it was done in Dark Souls. Bloodborne is set to release on March 24, 2015 in the US and March 27, 2015 in the UK exclusively on the PlayStation 4.

LEGO The Hobbit‘s Story won’t be finished with DLC. Although Peter Jackson’s trilogy of Hobbit films have already been released, Warner Bros. LEGO The Hobbit, which follows the story line of the first two films, will not tell the tale of The Battle of the Five Armies with DLC. On the matter, a Warner Bros. rep stated, “The LEGO The Hobbit videogame gives LEGO and Middle-earth fans a fun, new way to experience the legendary adventures of Bilbo and company as told in the first two films of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy. The game provides an excellent set-up for the concluding chapter of Peter Jackson’s film, The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. There are no plans to develop DLC based on the final film of the trilogy”. However, Gameinformer was quick to point out a particular press release for the title that stated “Additional content based on the third film, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, is planned to be available at a future release date”.
