LOS ANGELES, June 14 (UPI) -- Star Wars: The Force Awakens was reimagined in Lego form in a new trailer that debuted during Sony's E3 2016 press conference. The clip featured Lego versions of Force Awakens characters Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren, Han Solo and more along with recreated scenes from the film re-done in the Lego series' signature comedic style. Kylo Ren is seen going to his Darth Vadar-themed bedroom in anger after learning of Rey's existence, a group of First Order stormtroopers are viewed putting on 3-D glasses to view the activation of Starkiller Base, and Han Solo easily defeats a stormtropper with a well placed shot that pays homage to Indiana Jones. "Players can relive the epic action from the blockbuster film in a way that only Lego can offer, featuring all of the storylines from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, retold through the clever and witty Lego lens," reads the trailer's official synopsis. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens will also feature scenes set before the film bridging the gap between The Force Awakens and Return of the Jedi.

Developed by TT Games, the title represents the studio's next installment in their popular Lego Star Wars series that have already covered the six previous films in the franchise including one title based on the animated series, The Clone Wars. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens will launch on June 28 for Nintendo 3DS, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.Don't Get Blocky KidFebruary 2, 2016Star Wars: The Force Awakens has already spawned some awesome spoofs (are you following Emo Kylo Ren and VeryLonelyLuke yet?), but a movie isn’t considered properly parodied until it gets turned into a Lego video game. That’s officially happening on June 28, when Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games release Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens for pretty much every video game system on the planet.Related: Review: ‘Lego Marvel Avengers’ Assembles Overly Familiar FunThe whole gang’s here: Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, Kylo, Han, Chewie, and even the overhyped, underplayed Captain Phasma.

The game’s first trailer is a shot-for-shot send-up of the first Force Awakens teaser, poking fun at everything from a sweat-soaked Finn running through Jakku to Kylo Ren’s ridiculous lightsaber. The game will mostly cover the events of the film, though Warner Bros. also says that it will explore the time between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens to lend insight into some of the characters. It’ll also include some new features, like a “Multi-Build” system that grants multiple options when building Lego devices in the game and space dogfighting segments. The Lego Star Wars video game series has been a big hit for Warner Bros. More than 33 million games have been sold in the franchise’s 10-year history, though that number will certainly get a huge boost once the new game arrives. The Force Awakens pretty much prints money. Ben hopes this game will let you shoot Ewoks. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a Lego-themed action-adventure video game developed by TT Fusion, based on the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Interactive Entertainment for iOS, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, Nvidia Shield and Wii U, on 28 June 2016, and for Android on 27 July 2016. The game was ported and released by Feral Interactive for OS X on 30 June 2016. In addition to adapting the film, the game includes content which covers the period between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. The gameplay of Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is similar to previous Lego video games. New systems were introduced including Multi-Builds which grant players access to various building options. These options can be destroyed and rebuilt in certain brick-building sections of the game, allowing for new path to be opened within the game's world.

[2] Players can also hide behind cover and engage in "Blaster Battles" with enemies throughout the game.[3] The game features over 200 playable characters, including Rey, Finn, Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Kylo Ren and droids, including C-3PO and BB-8, and locations, including Jakku and Starkiller Base.[4] In addition to adapting the film, the game also bridged the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, with Lucasfilm allowing for creative freedom in the additional content that will explore the characters' backstories. In early February 2016, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment teased that the company is working on a new title that involved "two of the world's most popular entertainment brands". The game was later leaked by several retailers, before its official announcement on 2 February 2016. Players who purchase the game's Deluxe Edition will receive a season pass to the game and a Lego minifigure of Finn, while players of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions will receive additional downloadable content, including a character pack and a bonus level.

The packs will be titled the "Droid Character Pack" and the "Phantom Limb Level Pack" respectively.[7] The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U on 28 June 2016. The game featured the voice talents of Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie and Max von Sydow reprising their roles from The Force Awakens, as well as Tom Kane reprising his role as Admiral Ackbar from various Star Wars video games. The game received mostly positive reviews. GameSpot awarded of 7.0 out of 10, saying "Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens doesn't really take you to a new galaxy far, far away, but it's still a pleasant journey."[10] Game Informer awarded it 8.5 out of 10, saying "A blast for Star Wars and Lego fans alike."[11] IGN awarded it 9.0 out of 10, saying "LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most gaming fun I’ve had with either series in years."
