A Medical Droid is a droid Minifigure from the Star Wars Theme, built in order to heal and/or assist others to heal injured characters. It appears to feature a new mould for the torso, but standard grey battle droid legs (the same used on Rocket Battle Droids) and one arm, the other arm is a gray version of a piece used as the MagnaGuard's arms. The newer version appears to have the same body and legs, but has two battle droid arms instead. A classification of first-degree droid, medical droids were actually considered to be members of the larger biological science droid classification, but were typically listed separately due to their prominence. The galaxy was full of sentient species and it could be very hard for a flesh-and-blood doctor to know how to effectively treat more than a few of them. Medical droids had no such shortcomings, some even had a passable bedside manner.[1] The most popular meddroids included the 2-1B surgical droid and FX-series medics. GH-7 medical analysis units were common throughout the Galactic Republic, while the Sith employed DD-13 medical assistant droids for their dark reconstruction surgery.[2] There were even models that specialized in non-sentient creatures. The Geeaych-Seven was also known as the GH-7 meddroid. Its data banks were filled with information about almost all medical problems, physical or mental. In 19 BBY, a GH-7 was deployed at Polis Massa Base to oversee the medical treatment of Padmé Amidala with the assistance of a Midwife droid as she gave birth to Luke and Leia.

A team of DD-13 cybernetic surgical droids were used to reconstruct Darth Vader in the Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center after he was severely injured in a duel with his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar. Luke Skywalker was treated in a Bacta tank operated by two medical droids, a 2-1B and an FX-7, in the Echo Base medical lab shortly before the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY. The same droids would replace Skywalker's hand with a cyborg replacement after losing it to Darth Vader on Bespin. Another medical droid pulled shrapnel out of Luke after his escape from the Cavrilhu Pirate Base. ↑  Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game – Squadrons Over Corellia ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith ↑ Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back ↑ Specter of the Past LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Phantom Limb DLC is out today By now many of you have probably explored the galaxy far, far away that is LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (if you haven’t, then what are you waiting for?!).

One of the lingering questions I’m sure you’ve had is… what’s the deal with C-3PO’s red arm?The Phantom Limb Level Pack lets you experience these events, while collecting new characters and a cool vehicle along the way. This downloadable content is a free exclusive for PS4 and PS3 players! The Phantom Limb level continues the Trouble Over Taul story — one of the New Adventure levels featured in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens set in the time leading up to the film — after C-3PO’s ship crashlands on the barren planet of Taul, inhabited by hostile alien creatures who seem to crave the taste of droids. Never fear though — C-3PO is in good company with an oddball cast of survivors. First up is PZ-99, a security droid whose prime directive is to protect all non-combat personnel. Teaming up with him is VL-44, another security droid, armed with an incinerator to destroy gold LEGO bricks and fend off the hostile creatures on the surface of Taul. There’s also CO-34, a construction droid able to do most of the heavy lifting for the group, MSE-Y, a repair droid, GNK-189, a power droid, and 2MED2, a medical droid.
