This incidentally unlocks access to the mystery door. Filling the Jedi bar is not a simple function of money, but also in grabbing all the pre-staged LEGO studs in each mission. Dying in a stage will reduce the Jedi bar (although once the bar is at maximum and pulsing, it cannot diminish). In vehicular missions (particularly the pod race), the player needs to smash and destroy all the destructable objects to gain money. The invulnerability cheat ($1,000,000 in the shop) can help you get a full Jedi bar in most of the non-vehicular stages. I found that the fastest way to collect coins is in level 5 of episode III, "Darth Vader". At the very begining of this level, you have to run down a corridor while the floor crumbles under you. If you happen to fall in the lava you simply start at the begining of the hall again. The cool thing is that you do not lose your coins. You can run down this hall over and over again, getting around 4,000 coins each time and then just dying at the end of the hall. It took me about 30 min. to reach 250,000 coins. When starting the game it is best to save all your money for the invincibility cheat, however reaching 1,000,000 coins is difficult. Just before Anakin Skywalker hits the lava, have the second player hit pause and drop out of the game, resulting in the AI taking a hit. Keep repeating the process and you can force an easy win. LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game is een computerspel gebaseerd op de Star Warsspeelgoedlijn van LEGO. Het spel speelt zich af tijdens de prequeltrilogie van Star Wars (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones en Revenge of the Sith), met een bonussegment van A New Hope. LEGO Star Wars werd voor het eerst uitgebracht op 5 april 2005. Het spel werd ontwikkeld door Traveller's Tales voor de Microsoft Xbox en Sony PlayStation 2, en Microsoft Windows. Alle versies van het spel werden uitgebracht door Eidos Interactive en LucasArts.Maar ook buiten die groep deed het spel het goed. Het spel volgt dezelfde verhaallijn als die in Episodes I, II en III van Star Wars, maar met kleine verschillen. De meeste personages moeten worden ontsloten door levels uit te spelen of ze te kopen in Dexter's Diner. De personages zijn ingedeeld in verschillende groepen op basis van hun vaardigheden. Deze groepen zijn de Jedi, personages die blasters gebruiken, droids en kanselier Palpatine (die in zijn eentje in een aparte groep zit). LEGO Star Wars heeft een optie genaamd 'Free Play', waarmee de speler een level opnieuw kan spelen, maar dan met de mogelijkheid tijdens het spelen van personage te wisselen. Dit stelt spelers in staat bepaalde gebieden te bezoeken waar ze eerst niet bij konden. In Free Play mode kan een speler elk personage wat hij op dat moment heeft ontsloten gebruiken. Dexter's Diner is het gebied waar de speller kiest welk level hij of zij wil spelen. Ook bevindt zich hier een parkeerplaats waar de speler gevonden onderdelen van voertuigen kan gebruiken om voertuigen te repareren. Tevens kan de speler hier nieuwe personages ontsluiten. Elk level in LEGO Star Wars volgt losjes scènes uit de Star Warsfilms.
Er is geen gesproken dialoog. Het spel begint met Obi-Wan Kenobi en Qui-Gon Jinn in het Trade Federation schip, en eindigt met Anakin Skywalker en Obi-Wan Kenobi's duel op Mustafar. In elk van de 17 levels kan een speler een bepaald aantal LEGO-stenen verzamelen en hiermee speciale kits verdienen. Indien alle 17 kits zijn bemachtigd, krijgt de speler een bonuslevel gebaseerd op Episode IV: A New Hope.
